Can you trick or treat as a teen, or even as an adult?

I walked around with my friend (I'm 16, she's 18) for trick or treating and we got our bags stuffed with candy. o u o (Haven't done this since 2nd grade! A childhood well missed) She wasn't even dressed up (although I did go overboard, white hair, water fetcher pail thing, silver mask, hat, fake deep voice, etc.), you're never too old 8D If you're having fun, who really cares? We, well my friend did, I was blinded by my wig and hat and mask and fogged up glasses, saw this old lady trick or treating (w/o kids) and good on her~ On a side note, rather than "you're too old" comments, I got comments like "nice cup, how are you going to fit that candy inside, well that's a first tonight, so the big kids are out, aye?" and stuff like that. Fufufufufu. Although, I guess, most people I know go out for house spotting. Though, if you're looking at houses, why not just hold a hand out for candy~?

I think some people still do but sadly, I don't. But I do harass my relatives and friends for candies and chocolate. And I do it all year-round so I don't know if that counts.

My dear, there is no age limit to the tricks and treating.

I believe some cities (such as Richmond, VA) have tried to adopt a law that bans teenagers from trick or treating. Not sure if it was effective but eh. What are they gonna do? Ask for a school ID or papers proving you're under the age of 12?

LOOOL you don't need to live by the |rules| ya know~~ I was totally gonna go tonight, but it is heavily raining... and no one was out Trick or Treating/// so I didn't really want to go in the pitch black with my small sis and friend... so I just slept

BUTTT if the circumstances were different, I would have totally went..

I mean, FREE CANDYYY~~

It also helps if you look younger than your age~

I trick or treated until I was about 17 I think without any odd looks. I look a lot younger than I am, though, so that might have helped. Now I like to trick-or-treat around college apartments with my friends because you get funny reactions. Boring people will say something like, "Uh...we don't have any candy." But a lot of people will just give you whatever they have. I got some Top Ramin, an apple, a muffin, and a picture somebody drew this year.

That's why they use costumes. So it's not weird asking for free candy when you're actually 75 years old.

Hell yea I do. It's the only reason why I had kids. That way I'm not the creepy dude asking for candy, I'm the awesome dad dressed like Doctor Who asking for candy!
