This is my first thread post on CrunchyRoll, so forgive me if I do something a little stupid You've been warned of my possible goofyness. Anyways, I just finished watching the anime run of Deadman Wonderland. Now I am not gonna give out any spoilers for those who may have not seen/finished it, but the twists in that show were amazing to me. So anyways, question here is, what is your favorite twist you experienced in an anime? (Could be something pretty substantial, or maybe it wasn't that big of a deal to everyone else but you enjoyed the heck out of it.)

vortex594 13205 cr points Send Message: Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 11/1/12 if you count manga, not gonna spoil it, but in the most recent chapter of bleach, there was a pretty big twist. and the twist in the current arc of SAO, which i will also not spoil. and the prof. stein twist in soul eater. the checkerface/trini sette twist in KHR!... and the list goes on...

Edit: I didn't read the first post properly. It wasn't my favourite twist but more like, "WTH just happened". The ending threw me off completely. I don't think I twists, it throws me off and I become confused for a couple of days :[

Sket Dance had some good ones as well, primarily in the characters' backgrounds - emotional sucker punches abound, not exactly expected in what's otherwise such a lighthearted series.

(I knew she was going to turn psycho) Narutaru on the other hand... Narutaru is famous for being one of the biggest trolls in the anime industry. Narutaru trolled hundreds of thousands before the troll meme was even created. Talk about a show that flips a complete 180°, and ends up in a completely different universe. The show went from E for Everyone to AO in a heartbeat, and it did it in one of the most gruesome and unexpected scenarios ever depicted in an anime. I had nightmares for months after watching it, and even though it has been 9 years since I watched it, I still cringe whenever I think of it.
