Who's Going to Japan in April 2013

The cost of travel would depend very much on what sort of accomodations you want, or are willing to put up with. I've heard of as low as US$25-50 a day in dorms or youth hostels and the like. For food, while you can certainly blow out your bank account if you want, it needn't be that expensive. When I went in 2010, a decent meal set in Tokyo could be had for around JPY1000 at a restaurant, give or take a hundred or so. Buying bento, fruit, or other items in a grocery store might cost even less. My meals ranged from a JPY890 teishoku set with local scallops, chicken, rice, pickles etc. to a Y13,500 7-course kaiseki ryouri feast.

I got two weeks off myself, and was thinking of flying out there for a week, and meeting up with them for a day or two, while I travel around They told me that they're booked up with plans with friends there already.
