The video for Gintama S6 Rerun 1 is just a repost of the stream for episode 136 under a different name... It's good that you're acknowledging the reruns, but couldn't you at least do a new re-encode on the actual rerun episode?
There were at least a few differences in the episode that aired in Japan today. For example, the new version that aired had the current OP/ED (it was the premiere of the Gintoki version of the ED). The 2 minute background-only talk from the start of the episode was changed too.
The changes are only minor, but it would have been nice to see the new version of the rerun instead of the old version.

minor? those tiny little changes are what was supposed to keep us going after a week of waiting. This just shows that crunchy roll is even lazier then gintama. I wonder if they hoped ppl wouldnt notice. i really hope they fix this and dont do the same for the next reruns

Yups it's really disappointing that cruchyroll do repost older videos from older videos with different name.  Those tiny little changes are the main reason people keep watching gintama although it's only rerun. hope the next rerun episode this issue is fixed. |

If its considered a rerun by the licensor, then they wouldnt have submitted it to crunchyroll. They just underestimated the interest people on streaming sites like this may take to the subtle differences or a few lines of dialogue theyve added for the japanese rerun broadcasts.... I would assume anyway. |

if the licensor has a new name for the episode i would think that it would be considered a new episode even if its the same scenes.

This is unrelated to the issue, but why was the title of this thread changed? I'm 100% sure I called this thread "Gintama Reruns" not "Gintama Returns".
