Looks like you trace to me. It's okay to start getting the notions of proportion and such, but try not to do it too much. You don't want to be Nick Simmons.

It wasn't a trace. If that was trace it would be a lot better than it looks. I scaled down the drawn pic to fit the page, plus I colored it in photoshop. This is the original drawing:
