Is it weird for boys to watch shojo's?

If you enjoy it then that all that matters. example: I like/follow a few series that are published in Waii Magazine. Is it weird? probably .... Do i care? Nope because its something i enjoy / can give one something to think about.

If watching shoujo makes you feel happy, I don't think it's weird at all; it doesn't matter if you're male or female. The person that thinks you're weird is the one who's missing out. Each person has different tastes. Life would be boring if everybody liked the same thing. My parents think I'm weird that I'm 30 and watch those "Japanese cartoons" all day (when I'm not working). I don't let it bother me and watch Anime anyway because I feel happy while watching. End of story.

I DO give him shit for it because it is hilarious to see his reaction, but over all I think it is a good thing for guys to watch what they like. I also really like the mentality of it's not odd for girls to watch Shonen so why should be odd for guys to watch Shojo. To each their own!

I don't think it's weird at all. I mean, Skip Beat!, Ouran HSHC and Kimi ni Todoke are all shoujo. But they are really good so I don't see how anyone could say they're bad.

Hell, all i've read as of late is Shoujo manga, and I'm currently watching Say I Love You. Just because I'm a guy doesn't mean I always wanna see fights and stuff blowing up!

Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 11/2/12 Nah, I've gotten guys to watch Hana Yori Dango, Host Club, and others in the past and they've enjoyed it (probably helps I hosted an anime club at my house for years). ^_^ I have a fiance now and he was almost purely a shounen guy, but I've gotten him to watch and thoroughly enjoy Host Club, Itazura na Kiss, My Little Monster that just came out, and so on. He likes the ones that have a lot of the comedy factor, but I do know guys who don't even care about that.
