I'm an omnivor.

I don't equate meat with murder.

I also don't believe our species could have made it to the top of the food chain if they had so much compassion for their meals that they didn't eat. They may as well have lain down in the woods and let the wolves have them. Reversing the trend is kind of like saying, "I regret being number 1."

As for my personal food choices, I'm careful to purchase my meats from 1: Organizations that support my community and, B: Organizations that treat their animals humanely. So, I'm a big fan of the S.H.A.R.E. program as well as the local Amish market.

A big thanks to all of the folks out there who are vegetarian/vegan for purely health-related reasons for not bashing us! And a major THANK YOU to all of you who don't eat meat for moral reasons, but don't address my eating habits in a rude way. (Note: I don't mind being made aware of your opinions.) I appreciate those of you who let me know about some of the harmful practices going on in the slaughterhouses. Without you, I'd have a diet of much lower quality diet!

I avoid purchasing fur products because I'm allergic to most of them. I also think fur looks nicer on the animals -- I'd like to keep them around for aesthetic reasons. And one other reason -- I prefer to purchase animal products from companies that use the entire animal rather than disregard parts. No need to be wasteful!

I'm vegan. It's nice meeting other people that feel as strongly for animal rights.
I feel it can be much healthier too.

Man you always come up with the funniest stuff. When I order meat and someone else says they are vegan I order them some anyway and I eat it right in their face just to piss them off. then I stick my long slinder lizard like tongue out and lick the sauce off of it. Then I show case the food in my mouth every couple chews. Then I take them to a cow butchering plant just to show them a cow getting a rod shot in its brains. OKAY EVEN I THINK THAT LAST ONE WAS SCREWED UP.

MTE.

I don't have enough willpower to give up meat and cheese. Props to those that do though.

I think I'd feel much better being a vegetarian etc. but I could NOT just survive on nuts and fruits. No no no, haha. I tried to turn into a vegetarian once, but I could only hold it for a month until I had to give up 'cause I didn't get any food into me. My family isn't understanding at all when it comes to vegetarians etc. because they see animals as something to eat. Expect pets ofcourse. I would like to eat more fruit, nuts and vegetables, but I think I'll wait until I move out. Then I'll get more control over what I eat, and wont have my family in my butt trying to convince me eating animals is okay. I've stopped to eat pig meat, but thats mostly 'cause I think they're disgusting. Haha, I sound cruel! But I'm against eating pets like dogs, cats, horses etc. but its not really common here in Norway anyway. Its rare to find someone that eat their dog!!

I know about a lot of people who are vegetarian, so I think I could make it. Being vegetarian is also often more healthy 'cause you get the vegetables and fruit you need. My family is very bad at eating enough of that, but I'll keep on pushing them, haha.

Oops, long comment.
