I always felt bad for him because he was chosen so rarely. The challengers all wanted the "big" names, like Morimoto, Chen Kenichi, and Iron Chef French Sakai.. I used to watch the original IC ALL the time. I especially liked it when they would have a secret ingredient that is relatively common in Japan, but rarely seen here in the US, like eel, sea urchin, etc. It would be good to see IC rebooted.

Yes, I remember squid ink ice cream! They will eat just about anything raw there, including liver and horse!
