Hey guys, this has been on my mind for quite a long time, but who do you think the dark wizard zeref really is?
I think it's possible that his full name is Zeref Dragneel and he is Natsu's real father before Igneel.
Also, as of the grand magic games arc, in the anime, do you think this could possibily be zeref (With his memories partially gone)?

zeref is shown in the manga but i don't think he has any relation to natsu since he looks way too young

no i don't think so. in another manga Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide natsu is said to be a spiritual being of some sort and zeref is suppose to be hundreds of years old. |

Okay, here is my incomplete theory. "Zeref" from the "Grimoire Heart Arc" is Romeo, either the Edolas Romeo by more likely present day Romeo who got send to the past 400- 450 years ago. He is not really "Zeref" who is like a God of Hatred or something to the effect, but has infected Romeo in the same fashion as Jellal. My gut is telling me that Jellal is Acnologia who likely went back in time to stop Zeref but in order to do so had to tap into some forbidden power he could not control.

I think... Zeref helped found Fairy Tail, and that the secret is in the Lumen Histoire.

tbh we dont know much about zeref so i thinks its to early for these theories, although i hope there the main story does not have to much to do with time travel. that shit hurts my head :l

hmmm......the idea of Zeref being either future Romeo because the original was pulled back in time due to the door thing in the grand magic games or edolas Romeo (and again being pulled back in time because of the door)
of course we'd only be able to find out after or during the great dragon assault >:D

With how much logic goes into Fairy Tail nowadays I'd rather just wait until it comes out rather than speculate. I've got my ideas, and I agree that it might be future Romeo or something to do with Eclipse. However, all I can guarantee is that whoever the final antagonist is, Zeref or whoever, Natsu will beat them. It's a battle manga for goodness sake.

I think Zeref did call Natsu, Natsu-nii. Or something similar. He seems to care for him.

It could be that Natsu hasn't met "Zeref" yet in the past but Zeref remebers Natsu because Natsu does EVENTUALLY go to the past, maybe.

Dragon Slayers have a good sense of smell. So if Zeref was really Igneel, Natsu would be able to smell it right away when they 1st met.
Zeref seems to have some connection with Acnologia. Considering how powerful both are maybe a fight between the two will cause the end of the world.

Zeref is inmortal and does not age.. So he be young forever. But still old enough to have kids.
