Ah, I got it... it's supposed to read "except rape".

Those are some serious decryption skills you have there.

i think in anybody sense, that it would be one where everyone loves you. and basically you rule the world. but the people actually approve of it.

And so you killed yourself out of boredom after one year.

i honestly can't see that happening. but that'll very due to the way someone rules the world.

i just wanna rule the world, have that power and do nothing about it. knowing that i can do anything i want is fulfilling enough. i understand human nature enough to know if i get everything for free than life is pointless. though there are things i want free, and i don't think getting those would be boring.

and even if i become a tyranny, i can't see myself bored at all.

I find power to be quite overrated for my taste. If i were to become someone who rules the world, that would also have a ton of responsibilities, to maintain my life style would mean maintaining the world in a functional manner. My time would be taken up actually governing and not doing anything else. After a while, i would probably become paranoid and think everyone would be out to kill me or take me down from power. Which would be exhausting.

I dont really have an ideal society in mind because i dont believe one will ever exist. Its human nature to compete, people strive to stand out and make their mark in history, be in a sense "better" than others. If you managed to take away racism, economic disparity, and religious biases, people would find other ways of differentiating themselves from others, and will find new reasons to fight against each other. If you take away socio-economic status, people will find other ways of making themselves stand out more than others through different means.

I dont believe a peaceful world will ever exist. What has driven humanity through history has been conflict. It is what causes innovation and new technology. In a peaceful world, where everyone is perfectly content with their lives, there would be no reason or drive to develop new technology. People innovate because they want to gain something at the end of the tunnel. whether its recognition, wealth, protect a loved one, they do it because they have a stressor driving them forward.

The only way i could see humanity ever uniting for a common goal, would be some kind of space war against another race. With that if the fighting is far away, Earth would probably be peaceful, due to humanity having someone other than themselves to fight agains

lol, what i meant was for everyone to magically be ok with my ruling the world. and that i'd let it function as is. basically a selfish world where i don't care what happens to it. but if i do i can take action at anypoint and there would be non naysayers.

and the question is a society for you. so basically what do you want.

in in recollection to what you said above, i agree that people will always segregate themselves from one another. but the government actually do it to the people as well so that it becomes common. if the government doesn't do that i see it being peaceful. racist will just being bullies instead of a cult.

i personally feel that the way we live is the reason that there will be no peace. the fact is we are content with the way life is living, the only difference is that people selfishly want more without reasoned motivation. take work ethics for example. you know working is a harsh environment, so you cut the bus boy some slack and pile your dishes before his comes to clean up. you give people to many shortcuts and they slack off. people are watching movies and playing on the computer in offices. if people push each other to perfection than i can see the world renovating alot quicker and for the better. standards drop because we allow it to, we push high standards for certain things and don't give a dam for others.

i think if humans were to focus on war with aliens, people would just segregate more. war is a powerful tool to invest fear into people as a nation. each nation would fear for itself. you'd only offer enough manpower to still leave you enough power to protect your own nation incase the aliens with the over power another nation. if there is a unison to fight off the aliens than the nation would focus on a central part of the world and create the rest as a place of resource and trashland.

My ideal society eliminates all the horrors of the world. That is why I think we'd be better off if we were still living in caves. That's my ideal society. All of us being mindless cavemen. As long as we have our intelligence, there's no way to avoid the horrors of the world.

Humans could never build a perfect society. One man's utopia is always another man's dystopia. Socialism/Communism, are just handing all power over the citizenry to the corrupt and/or incompetent politicians most of society hates. It is actually a good thing that Anarchy doesn't last long, because the resulting chaos is disastrous. The best that a citizen could hope for is a constant battle to maintain a society that has a medium to high degree of personal freedom with a minor amount of government interference to maintain order.

They'll still happen as usual. We just won't understand it. If you really wanted that you'd just treat your brain to electroshock therapy.

You're right on the bold. I don't want to do that. Sure, I wouldn't understand how terrible the world is, but I also wouldn't be able to enjoy the good things.

My perfect society? Simple as being kind and helping each other whenever there is need. I mean I can't ask for too much, nothing can be perfect.

I've never really understood how the economics of this world works so this is probably improbable.

I Think a society in which there is no money would allow people to focus on things that really matter in our short time on earth.
I imagine a simple way of achieving this would be to issue every citizen with an allowance, every year or month, which cannot be saved and expires upon issuance of the next allowance.
I understand this would bring its own set of complications but it would also eliminate any divide between rich and poor, there would be no major corporations or banks influencing governments. It would allow people to do as they see fit with there time.
If people decide to work there should be benefits to working such as an increased allowance or first dibs on football tickets that sort of thing all based on how specialized the job is but the main reason to take on the job should be for the love of the job rather than the money.

Education would be the most important part of this society and free for all to pursue. Without the worry of debts and the rush to start earning a living people could explore each of their interests find what they are most suited too.
This could also mean that the best discoveries, technological advancements are not overlooked because of lack of funding or lack of return on investment.
The same goes for the arts, if somebody enjoys preforming or creating they shouldn't have to stop just because it's crap but on the other hand if its great it will entertain millions make the artist famous if that's what they're after.

I agree with a lot of what quickbeam said but i see it in a different light, yes some people are driven to stand out to be the best they can be and be remembered long after they're gone, but if these people are driven in a society that celebrates peoples achievements in art, science or sport rather than business or war then the outcome has to be a positive and so they should be remembered.
quickbeam also mentions that living in a perfect world there would be no desire to excel because people would be content.
On the whole i don't think humans are ever content with what is in front of them, if they dream of something better we should promote this, let people chase their dreams not inhibit them.
Unless of course they dream of mass genocide we shouldn't encourage that.

Government is a tough one to get my head around as I've never liked politics so i would do away with politicians and have government work like jury service but instead of ordinary people great minds of the time are called upon to deal with problems of the world and any major decisions are put up to public vote.

As i mentioned there are problems i see with this ideal society, the main one being where would all the money come from to fund this but from what i understand the whole idea of money works only because we place value upon it in the first place.
So money shouldn't really be an issue.

My ideal society:
-Everyone gets along or at least tolerates everyone else
-All drugs are legal
-People have great self-control and never OD
-Hard labor is done by machines
-People don't have kids like crazy
-People actually strive to do something beneficial for their society

An entire society depending on eachother in a better way then what it is now.

Right now all we're depending on eachother on is to make our life easier, atleast for a big %-age of people ( in my experience ).

So anything that'd remove that dependency and fill it with something which disallows or entirely removes any part of the society to take advantage or "use" people for various reasons which in the end does more harm then good.

I know its not very well thought out or anything, and its probably not even possible, but in the end a place where people can live alongside eachother and not be assholes to other people etc
