I really don't understand why you have to spend massive amounts of money on Christmas. It's just another invented holiday meant to take your hard earned money away.

It means a lot to some people. It's a time of year where many get some days off work. They can go enjoy that time with family and friends and exchange gifts that make each other a little happier. Yeah, it's just an invented day meant to make us spend money, but what's wrong with that if the money spending will create a good time?

Another special day to celebrate and be nice to everyone. After xmas, people will be back to the way they were.
Just like Valentines Day, chocolate, condoms and cards are probably the most purchased items.
I dont need v-day to remind me how much i love my gf, i treat her that way everyday.

You can do all the of those things during any part of the year. You don't need a holiday as an excuse to spend time with family and friends and have a good time. You don't even to spend money to have good time.

That it true, but not always will jobs universally decide to give everyone time off. And you don't need to, but lets be honest. Material possessions make everyone happy.
