Death Note

Actually, it's difficult to dissappoint me with something, but Death Note was just.... bad.

Blue Exorcist, I really found that show to be quite boring, and he hardly used his damn sword...

Bleach and Naruto, both are overrated.

I seriously really gave it more of a try than I do most anime, but it never got better.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

This is of course coming off of just watching Clannad: After Story (Which is very good) everyone said it's just like it so watch it. Haruhi Suzumiya is the most unlikeable character ever to be created and that one series of episodes where it repeats like 8 times, yuck!

However I loved The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie. Weird I know, but I suppose having less Haruhi made for a greater movie.

More Kyon for the win. Also the reason it repeats 8 different times but each one is changed a little each time was so you would hate it. So it would infuriate you. I'm pretty sure it worked on most people. It's to show what Yuki Nagato has to go through over a billion times each day. I liked the way they did that.

Anyway, an anime for me that didn't live up to the hype. I don't really listen to the 'hype' when picking out shows to watch but Gintama was one I just couldn't get into. At all.

Yeah Kyon was the only thing working for this whole series. If he was not in it I would've lost it. And I can see how that works with the repeated episodes, I still didn't like it but ok lol.

Without a doubt Eureka Seven AO.

After watching the first series i would have thought "ok something to help brighten the ending to the original series" instead i feel like someone just spit at me after watching this anime. For one the plot kept changing one episode after another and you couldn't really grasp what the heck was going on in the story until the very end. Another thing i found to be confusing was the whole need for independent goverments when clearly this is practically a world effort.

The ending was meh, but the anime was okay. Eureka so-so and Ao is a convoluted mess.

Oh and I forgot The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. It was so boring... and even the supposed exciting parts were boring. Not to mention that Haruhi was just an annoying bitch and never changed at all.

The movie was cool though, I liked the movie.

These are just anime's that I personally felt didn't live up to the hype. Not saying they objectively didn't. People are gonna hate me for this lol.

1. Madoka Magica Please don't get me wrong! I LOVED Madoka Magica, its actually one of my all time favorites. But I thought it was going to be way better than it really was for all the hype it garnered. I thought it was going to be some anime revolution or something lol.

2. A Certain Magical Index. I personally found this series to be average. I still enjoyed it, but wasn't thrilled to watch it. Although I did fall in love with the spin off series, A Certain Scientific Railgun. To me, that series was far more entertaining than Index.

3. Clannad "Sigh.' Here we go, I know i'm gonna get flack for this. Once more, I greatly enjoyed Clannad and found it to be a really touching series, but it just wasn't "awesome" to me. Similarly, it wasn't the "saddest series evar" to me either. To me, it was very good, but not extraordinary. After Story was better, but still falls into this category for me.

I wasn't aware that Guilty Crown got a lot of hype, but if it did, then I guess it really wasn't worth it either. Even though I did really enjoy it.

Sword Art Online- Even though I enjoy the anime it definitely didn't nearly reach my expectations. I thought it was going to be among top 10. The action scenes the animators boast about didn't turn out too fascinating at all. Too many still images and slow motion effects and when it was actually good it lasted less than 10 seconds.
Guilty Crown- Story that makes no sense to me and every character except Hare I wanted to punch in the face. Soundtrack and action scenes still kept me in the anime though.
Infinite Stratos- The PV they released made it look amazing. But what was in the PV made up less than 20% of the anime. The rest consisted entirely of generic harem comedy and characters
Arcana Famigila - Cliche characters and story

Sword Art Online - I really can't go with the flow to the people who really love this.. The concept is good, but I find the characters common.. not so unique..

Nurarihyon no Mago - I thought this would be very good... but for me, the arcs are so dragging....
