PSP or PSVITA?
|
I'm interested in purchasing one of these two consoles, however I'm stuck on which one to choose.
I used to have a PSP in the past but unfortunately it broke on me. But due to the new cheap E1000 model it has encouraged me to buy another . However the PSVita is a newer piece of hardware but I'm concerned that the games aren't there for it. One of the key factors though for me would be the best one to go for in terms of which console is more significant to the Japanese IE which console do more Japanese video games get developed on?. Since I love to be able to import those games from Japan. But would it be the case that the PSP isn't going to be getting many more games for it soon? Thanks for the help, hopefully it all makes sense. |

I try my best to update it frequently. > __ < Hopefully this will persuade you to purchase a Vita. c: This month there's going to be some really good games that you don't want to miss out on. :D Additionally, some developers are doing something pretty interesting. They're developing for both the PSP and Vita. ' w ' http://www.crunchyroll.com/group/Playstation_Vita |

If you want a handheld that has more Japanese games,PSP is the choice. Japanese developers tend to favor the PSP more, still, although the Vita is out. For example, Kokoro Connect, Fate/Extra Games etc (only PSP Japanese released)... Supposedly, BRS: The Game will be coming to the US on the PSP though
However, I am a big fan of both and played the PSP (and sometimes still do) and currently play Vita too. The Vita has trophies, so that's a huge selling point to me and games like Persona 4 Golden, COD, Ragnarok Odyssey are games I am looking at getting... Plus, rumor that Type-0 is coming to the US on Vita. But do you know Japanese to make your imports worth while? |

Just remember how many new games are going to be coming out on the PSP from now on, close to zero. If the established game base is good enough for you, the psp may be a good option. If you want to play the Persona 4 Golden edition, better get a vita.

I like the PSP i know Vita is new and slick and stylish and what not.. heh.. but the PSP has more games and well..... i guess its under my preference that PSP is better to own. But if you prefer Vita thats great also

Bear in mind that MANY of the PSP games are available to play on the vita as well.
The vita is probably the most impressive piece of handheld technology I've ever owned, yet unfortunately software support for it just isn't there yet - however I do play to use it to play many of my psp games on a prettier screen... and there are some psv gems like gravity rush and p4g. |

Well, based on the VITA news we're seeing recently. the Japanese developers are slowly moving to the VITA. It all depends on the games you want to purchase really. The VITA is a really good piece of hardware though. You might want to invest for the upcoming games.
You can also wait for a price drop. Also, you guys forgot Project Diva f and DJMAX TECHNIKA TUNE. |

I will buy me a PS Vita, because it's all going to be digital, not like the PSP.
But what I don't know is.. If the games on the PSP will go onto the PSN where you can buy PS Vita games, because if that does happen, then I would love it, but I am not sure :L |

I'm having way too much fun with the CR skin xD

Vita is still relatively new... Soon enough they will shut down production of the PSP and every market will be forced to move on to Vita. So in the long run, Vita is better I think.
Unless you HAVE to own some of the games for the PSP such as KH: Birth by sleep |

One month has passed and I'm just figuring this thing out ^__^

I say both console but if you can only buy one then go for PS Vita. Very good games to play on Vita and all the PSP games on PSN Store for download only will work with PS Vita. To bad UMD can't be use for Vita but its still worth it and you won't regret it at all.

(I've had the PSP since launch and the PS VITA since launch) I would say the VITA is a better buy if your going to pick up any of them because not only do you get a handheld whit ps3 looking graphics and gameplay possibilities but you also get a PS1 and PSP emulator whit it so you can play almost every psp and ps1 game simply by buying them from the PSN store. btw if your getting a PS VITA then i recommend a PS PLUS subscription because of the instant game collation at the moment you can get Jet Set Radio, Mortal Kombat, Gravity Rush and Uncharted Golden Abyss |
