I voted~

For all those who didn't, seriously? It's your chance to say something about how the government is run. You DO realize there were more people then just Obama and Romney on the ballot, too, right? And Election Day also covers other elections then the presidential. If you DON'T Vote, you don't have a right to complain about political policies, because you didn't take the time to cast a ballot, as far as I'm concerned. Yes, it's your right to vote or not vote. But if you didn't take a test, would you have the right to bitch about the results? Sorry folks, that's just how I feel about it.

Though, we need to get rid of the electoral college. That thing causes more problems every presidential election.

I rather vote for Ron Paul!! but out of the two dip shits running I went with Romney at least he is not trying to make America into something else and he will remove Obama's retarded care program.

(Yes there are two other names on the ballot but who the hell are they? voting for them is a wasted vote, might as well put it to something that counts)

I voted for Obama. Don't like Romney's ideas nor Ryan's- except for that decreased corporate tax that's more inclusive. I liked that one; hate the rest.

I second that opinion and motion to get rid of that ridiculous electoral college.

Not voting is like giving all candidate 25% or let say 50% since Obama or Romney's are going to win. So, Not voting is like saying two things
1- I don't care
2- I have the power to vote for both since both didn't get my vote.

Like I said, voting or not is not something exiting. Imagine all these people who got paid to vote for a persistent.
It happens and it always will.

---------(OBAMA 2012)------------ But I am lazy to go drive and vote :). So, my vote is spiritual new kind of vote.

I voted absentee. I'm permanent absentee. I never understood why anyone would go to the polls when you can just vote at home, but maybe I'm just weird.

I'm just gonna give a little of my two cents here.

To be completely honest, I'm really happy that a lot of the Crunchyroll Community realizes and accepts the importance of voting (at least most of the vocal community). The thing that makes me want to vote is knowing that only about 62% of all American people (heard this statistic awhile ago so don't quote me on it) votes for the presidential election (and don't even get my started on the other things like propositions).

That's seriously like a "wtf" moment. America was founded on the ideal of freedom and rights of the people, and here we are, not exercising those rights. Even worse, the reason why most people don't vote is because they are too LAZY to even check out who is really the better candidate in their eyes. They start to spout all these ethical/moral complaints on why they're not voting (like both of them are bad, politics as a practice is screwed up, my vote won't change anything, etc.) and while they do have some truth to them, in reality they just don't care.

And people actually emphasize how much you should vote, just look around your neighborhood at the voting signs (or even here at Crunchyroll) but this causes people to think that so many people are voting already so their vote really won't do anything. Listen to the candidate's views, use that noggin of yours, and vote for which one is better in your eyes.

LT;DR Only 62% of people vote so you should do your homework and pick which candidate you think should run in office.

I don't understand your logic. Your vote will not change the outcome, therefor you don't vote?

Again, that's the same thing as saying that you think your opinion is far better than another person's. Get over yourself.

Political Parties are ruining politics? Why don't you run for office as an independent. Walk door to door to explain your opinions and why you should represent people in your area.

90% of the problems people have with politics causing them to not vote exist because people don't vote.

This ^

Although I must admit, 90% of all statistics are fabricated on the spot.

Also this:

BTW, I voted Obama:

Romney 2012! No I don't agree with his social agendas (or more specifically the Republican platform of those). But truly it's the economy that's the real issue this go around. And I'll be danged if I vote again for Obama not after the last four years.

Also, those wanting to do away with the electoral college... And go to what? Popular vote? If that were the case we'd be like Canada where the vote is decided after Quebec and Ontario are done. In our case it would be decided before the states west of the Missippi voted.

If I can get my phone to upload the picture of my sticker to my PC I'll edit this.

I voted. I am proud to be able to vote. For those who have the opportunity to vote but didn't, I don't want to hear trash talk from you. You had your chance and you blew it for the next four years. So SHUT UP and go sit in the corner. As for the people who did take this opportunity to vote, THANK YOU.
