I love how people like to critique music that they arent accustomed to and dont understand. If the music is so bad, why is it so popular? People love saying crap like "Music is not as good as it used to be" and that simply isnt true.

1.) If you dont like it dont listen to it because the artists couldnt care less about your opinion if its not your taste.

2.) Music isnt better or worse than it used to be, its just different. If youre a semi-intelligent adult human being, you should be able to accept that.

3.)Catchy hooks that are easy to remember are what have always topped the billboard charts so I dont see the problem with the song "Black and Yellow (referring to the Pittsburgh Steelers, since thats where Camron Thomaz is from). Also, Aubrey Graham didn't invent vibrato, its just part of his repertoire like other artists so I dont see an issue with the song "No Lie".

this is one of the worst arguments I've ever seen for defending a multi billion dollar BUSINESS that is the music INDUSTRY. That's all it is, find a girl or boy with sex appeal make them sing a few hooks with a terrible voice that needs to be auto tuned, dress the girls like sluts and make them perform in music video's with blatantly satanic symbolism and spend millions on marketing and you have a hit! Saying "if the music is so bad, why is it so popular?" is facile, the masses are ignorant and couldn't care less about aesthetics are musical quality, people just follow each other like sheep and still think they're unique. music isn't an art form in the mainstream neither is it a tool for expression, none of them even know how to play an instrument or sing nicely how can you say it's just "different". I at least think these "music artists" should be more responsible with their younger audiences, they're highly impressionable.

Lolita hip hop is less popular within the radio stations and music channels but it's far more diverse now, themes have evolved, style is different we have battle rap, almost every country has it's own respected hip hop scene...

How can you support music that objectifies women and promotes unhealthy behavior?

Women objectified themselves before the genre existed. Also, it's self expression and I have no problem with that. Go start a feminist rally if you care so much but it won't make a difference.

There are other genres of music that objectify women and promote what you would consider unhealthy behavior but no one says anything. Why do you have to be racist?

Im not defending the music industry. Im defending the hip hop, rap, and R&B genres.

That's all it is, find a girl or boy with sex appeal make them sing a few hooks with a terrible voice that needs to be auto tuned, dress the girls like sluts and make them perform in music video's with blatantly satanic symbolism and spend millions on marketing and you have a hit!

Dude, thats all its ever been and as far as the "satanic" symbolism, you do realize that directors create the music videos and not the artist right? So a lot of this satanic crap you claim to see is from the influence of the directors.

music isn't an art form in the mainstream neither is it a tool for expression, none of them even know how to play an instrument or sing nicely how can you say it's just "different".

Thats just your hipster opinion. Also, you have no clue what artists actually know how to play an instrument. You're just forming an opinion based off of ignorance. Kinda like the ignorant masses you were describing.

Bottom line. It sounds like you dont know much about the music industry or music overall for you to sit there and make your biased and blatantly ignorant assessment. Also, the artists aren't the fans parents. They dont have to be responsible for younger audiences, especially since the younger audiences arent allowed to buy music with explicit content. The responsibility lies with the parents who allow their children to buy music with explicit content.

I havent watched MTV in almost 15 years (I didnt even know they still played music on MTV, what with all the reality shows) and I dont listen to the radio either. Yes, all the one hit wonders make music about swag, money and bitches but that doesnt speak for the entire genre. Also, just because YOU cant dance, doesnt mean that the dances are stupid. Maybe you should figure out why the songs you despise are written the way they are, find out who actually wrote them and learn more about the artists before you critique them and form an opinion.
