It can, but as of late those Satanic folks who are helping the movie, music and television industry might become the new scapegoats as the privateers and their chickenhawk weapon contractors make for a hastey exist since they have the most to lose when the music industry the mainstream one faults which should be in a matter of years.

LOL.

You don't really know much about history. The fact is, every era makes some good stuff in terms of art, music, books, movies, etc., but also tons of it is also trash. The better stuff, though lasts, and the trash gets forgotten.

Beethoven and Mozart weren't the only ones writing music in their era. Dickens and Twain weren't the only ones writing books. Charlie Chaplain wasn't the only one making movies.

Stuff that keeps being recognized as good gets called a "classic." There hasn't been time yet to filter the bad apples out of today's music.

There's also terms of taste. I think 60's music is trash. I'd rather listen to Bach any day.

I don't know, if Skrillex, Justin Bieber and PSY are the music of this generation... hold on, I got to go yell at some kids that are on my lawn.

There are a good number of people who enjoy the music truly because they enjoy it, but I've seen people just listen to mainstream music just because it's mainstream. For me I don't really listen to that much music on the radio nowadays (mainly mainstream music) because simply I just don't feel anything from the music, just seems like cheap lyrics slapped onto a beat (of course not all, there are just more of this than good in my opinion). A lot of the times I hear a song and I am disappointed because I think the artist could have done more to make the song better (in my opinion).

Very disturbed, but better that good music be found by those who appreciate good music most...

Besides some might say that once something goes very mainstream it is not cool anymore.

damn. id be scared to say that. im sick of givin props to the mark ass bitches that put absolute trash on the radio today. Give me some tupac, son..at least he expressed emotions instead of an all-consuming desire for lipuor, women, money and cars.

but thats just how i feel about hip hop. I think the big problem with music in general is people are coming to a point where it's all already been done. what new genres and sounds are there to be put out? it's like a little kid who used all the different colors of crayons in his crayon box already, i mean what else is there?

I think this thought process happens to every generation and their views of the ones thereafter.

People use to say the same thing about the 70s, the 80s, the 90s, the 2000s... and onward we go. :3

I am. I love listening to Michael Jackson. In my opinion, that was the epitome of what pop/music in general is. Nowadays, there are some good artists like Frank Ocean, Eminem (though his new stuff sucks ass compared to his old stuff), Killer MIke, Big Boi, they just get lost in the sea of mediocrity that is radio pop music. It's sad.

For the last part of your post, I'm going to assume you meant beats. Go to youtube and search up Vsauce. They explain how many different beats/sounds there can be. Safe to say, we aren't running out of different ways to do things, artists are just playing it too safe.

They used to hire only people who can sing prior to '00. Nowadays, anybody can be a singer if you've got the looks or publicity.

I don't understand how anyone can appreciate nasal voice like Lady Gaga's or musky voice like Katy Perry or whiny voice like Rihanna. Even with autotune, I can still hear those flaws... maybe I'm just oversensitive to voice types.

And one more thing that I don't understand is people's appreciation for singer/songwriter. A lot of songwriters aren't vocally good... so they make the songs turn bad. Songwriters who can't sing should give up their songs for singers who can make the song come to life.

Plenty of bad music has been made over the past century. Shockingly, bad music is still being composed to this day.

But lets get real here, everyone has their tastes and the second you run into something that is not "good" you shun it and say its bad music. There is still talent even in the "worst" of music today typically it's just music that you weren't brought up on so it sounds bad, whether it is actually poorly composed or not.

Music is all the same, literally. See here: http://youtu.be/nhivdSMdMxc (4 Chords, 35 Songs on Guitar)

Anyway, I'm glad I can contribute extra hate to this hater thread, hooray!

All of mainstream music is Satanic and all people that listen to it are unwittingly worshiping Satan:
