I voted for the Obama team, so "YAY!". Personally his views are similar if not the same as mine at the moment. Plus he hasn't pissed me off yet with anything he has done.

The economy is going to continue to decline, with terrible job growth, less small business opportunities and an infinite debt ceiling. Only thing I can say is with a strong ticket in 2016 I think conservatives will be able to take back the presidency.

I think you're generally going to see a lot of what we've seen so far. The election was fairly close, so Republicans in the House won't feel like they should compromise, and Obama is certainly not the type who will either. We'll probably see a lot of nothing while the debt ticks ever higher.

If it was, we'd have a legit socialist party. To consider the Democratic party socialist is an insult to socialism.

His actions dictate socialism though. Distribution of wealth? That's socialism 101

Social security is redistribution of wealth. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are redistribution of wealth. Bailing out the corporate fat cats on wall street... redistribution. Paying for a billion f'ing tanks that the Army doesn't even want... f'ing redistribution.

To quote Jon Stewart... "We're all socialists, we're just debating what shade of red we are."

You're going to freak out if we ever do get a legitimate socialist party here. Democrats are NOT socialist, and are prone to just as much corporate influence and private interest and supporting the American plutocracy as Republicans.

Exactly this. People can't see the forest through the trees or read between the lines in regards to what is actually taking place in our country. You might be able to try and argue he isn't a socialist, but he damn well isn't a capitalist.

Yeah, seriously I second that about LGBT people (and furthermore I support a Woman's right to choose in regards to abortion)--I'm actually surprised how skewed these current comments are towards Romney due to the social issues. You'd think the anime/asian drama community would be more progressive given the very exotic (and certainly not conservative) content of alot of that media from the standpoint of American Culture.

Anyway, Romney didn't show his numbers on the economics, obviously he was hiding something in my opinion. Also we know Obama got alot of flak from congress regarding his policies, so they weren't given a full chance. Be patient, Obama isn't going to work miracles but I have faith that he'll at least balance the budget (get the debt to start decreasing) and get unemployment down by 2016. Also, let's not forget the fact he won't cause WW3 by following Israel into Iran (that's kinda, errr, important don't you think?).

You're looking at 20 trillion by 2016. It won't go down under Obama. Fat chance.

I fear you are entirely too correct. As of 2014, we have to start paying for the Obamacare - not only government spending mind you, but our deductibles and premiums are going to continue to climb. I see businesses continuing to downsize because they can't afford health insurance coverage for their employees. I see the middle class being taxed because they now only get part-time work so their employer doesn't have to cover them, but they can't afford their own health insurance policy because they don't make enough - and they can't qualify for free healthcare because they make too much...
I see taxes being hiked on the wealthy and large businesses starting to suffer.
I see us not being able to settle on a budget again until the last minute and our credit rating being downgraded again.
I see a war in our not so distant future...possibly with Syria. If not, we will have another terrorist attack here in the US - why not? We let the terrorists get away with attacking our consulate in Libya.
I foresee Iran getting help from another unfriendly nation and continuing and making progress on their nuclear program. We aren't going to stop them under Obama's watch, that much is evident.
I see Medicare going to hell in a handbasket...it will already be too far gone to fix within 20 years. After that, there won't be any program for any of our elderly or sick, so what then?

I am scared for our country. I am scared for myself and my family.
I am not a poor loser - I am not saying anything untrue. I hope and pray that during this election process Obama heard half the population and will really take a look at what so many of us are begging and pleading to be changed. If he really cares about this country, he won't push aside the 50% of the US who didn't vote for him.

Again there are people who do not see what is going on but will vote for someone who has not done anything the past four years for anyone except for himself. He said these last four years is what got us into the mess we have...really who has been in office the past four years, who had a democratic everything for the first two years and did nothing about it...I could go on and on but people will say that I am far right or that I am hating on a black president. Honestly do not give a rats ass who he is, if he is not going to do his job and by the way he said that if he did not meet certain goals then he would only be a one term president...he is lying then and is lying now...people do not understand this country will not get better with him in office. Brainwashed people who do not know change.
