Again there are people who do not see what is going on but will vote for someone who has not done anything the past four years for anyone except for himself. He said these last four years is what got us into the mess we have...really who has been in office the past four years, who had a democratic everything for the first two years and did nothing about it...I could go on and on but people will say that I am far right or that I am hating on a black president. Honestly do not give a rats ass who he is, if he is not going to do his job and by the way he said that if he did not meet certain goals then he would only be a one term president...he is lying then and is lying now...people do not understand this country will not get better with him in office. Brainwashed people who do not know change.

That's fine. The country wouldn't get better under Romney either.

I voted for the Obama team, so "YAY!". Personally his views are similar if not the same as mine at the moment. Plus he hasn't pissed me off yet with anything he has done.

so basically ur ok with abortion?

so basically ur ok with telling people what they can and can't do with their bodies, especially concerning it can easily change the fabric of their life forever?

If so, you're not the kind of person I like talking to.

You have beliefs? Fine, keep to them, do whatever you want, just don't try to force them on people you don't even know.

This isn't the middle east.

I guess this is a good time to start learning another language. I wouldn't put it past an egotistical Obama to try and pass a bill to bring back the ability to run for more than just two terms. And I wouldn't put it past people to accept it. I've lost so much faith in our country today...

You do realize that being pro choice and pro abortion are not the same thing right?

It really didn't matter much to me... Both ignore what the majority of economist from across political opinions agree on what would actually help the economy.

Cut Mortgage tax breaks, end Corporate taxes (a stupid way to go about taxing the rich, if you want to tax the rich than tax the rich), and so on.... If you are actually interested than listen to Planet Money!

Not gonna happen. Our system is too bulky and slow and inefficient to pass anything like that.

Your half has lost faith. With any luck (for you), the other half will lose faith in 4 years. People cry about it all the time here, not sure why democrats and republicans have such limited scope of what's acceptable for political decision-making... given that, compared to the rest of the world, our political spectrum is frighteningly narrow.

If you're losing faith because your party lost this election, think about what it's like for people who want a third party candidate! But we hold our heads high and move on. Like how everybody else should. We're just going to float around like a free-form automated capitalist machine with no policy enactment anyway for another 2 years at least.

I just wish the military wasn't so f'ing republican. I almost don't want to talk to anybody tomorrow

Omg Yes. Women should be able to choose what they want to do with THEIR bodies. Pro-lifers are really just pro-fetus... There are a ton of unwanted kids already out there yet you don't see pro-lifers taking them in or staking adoption homes saying "COME ADOPT A KID TODAY"
I don't know of any women who hasn't had their life changed completely after giving birth....

It doesn't help that most people posting are teenagers, and just are repeating what their parents think... Not that believing what your parents think is bad, it just doesn't make for a good debate. Heck, I did the same thing in High School, and I am proud of the fact that I have changed my mind on some issues.

I think I've had enough strokes reading this thread I forgot how to cry... which would be a much more fitting reaction considering some of the stuff posted in here are actually extremely common beliefs.
