I can't say how relieved I am that Obama won. Abortion and gay rights aren't the only issues to vote on folks! You should vote on all the issues and for which president you agree with the most. Conservatives will always say they are against gay rights and abortion but guess what? They haven't done shit about it since abortion became legal. There will always be more important things. Oh and one other thing. Trickle down effect doesn't work. If it did, you would have seen a rise in companies hiring during the Bush years cause he gave major tax cuts but you didn't. Just saying, our grandparents wanted a liberal president when the great depression hit because republicans don't think the government should help out in those situations and it was a liberal who brought us out of the great depression and a republican who took us off the gold standard and put us on credit. Yeah I really want Romney, a 4 faced politician in office. At least Obama stays with his views and doesn't go the exact opposite every other day.

The current national debt is around $16,500,000,000,000 (16.5 Trillion Dollars) once it gets past 18 Trillion we are all screwed. Don't act like this has nothing to do with you. If the debt gets any more out of hand we will be paying 100% tax and the government will redistribute the wealth as they see fit. Not long ago we were at arms with communists about this very issue. I cannot believe it. If he turns around and gets the country back in order and reduces the national debt than I will gladly say he did a good job, until then he has failed and the debt shows that.

100% tax is simply not going to happen. On the other hand though, you might see runaway inflation of the US Dollar in the next few years in order to pay for our national debt unless the debt spiral can be stopped. I suppose inflation is a good thing for me given I have 40k in student loans over my head...lol.

I don't care which party is in the White House, as long as the same party has control of Congress. It seems like in every election, the dip shit voters in this country always put the opposite party in each, and not a damn thing gets done.

my guess is tat taxes are gunna skyrocket, gases are gunna skyrocket, debt is guna keep going up, unemployment will go up and also gun laws are gunna be stricter or worse. The good thing is tat i might be wrong and crunchyroll is not gunna disappear. unless they pull a 2nd S.O.P.A on us.

Obama hasn't done a thing about Gun regulation and has said repeatedly he will not. gah... Sorry I replayed to a typo filled post like this.

But, seriously, as someone who actually like economics, you know, the scientific study of the economy, neither side is much different, and neither side proposed real change because the sheeple public couldn't handle it.

Again there are people who do not see what is going on but will vote for someone who has not done anything the past four years for anyone except for himself. He said these last four years is what got us into the mess we have...really who has been in office the past four years, who had a democratic everything for the first two years and did nothing about it...I could go on and on but people will say that I am far right or that I am hating on a black president. Honestly do not give a rats ass who he is, if he is not going to do his job and by the way he said that if he did not meet certain goals then he would only be a one term president...he is lying then and is lying now...people do not understand this country will not get better with him in office. Brainwashed people who do not know change.

That's fine. The country wouldn't get better under Romney either.

So then we should just stay with the same bs for the last four years...we need a new person who can do better and Romney can and would do better. If all you have to say is either way nothing would change. Then read up on some facts then come back to me.

Romney would not do better. He'd push the poverty rate beyond sky high with his "legal rape" crap along with his allowing states to ban abortion. You want to reduce the country debt? It doesn't start by changing the laws on various beliefs.
My question for you... All I heard from Romney was "12 million jobs blah blah...." I'm pretty sure he was not the only person thinking of ways to create more jobs. If we could have more jobs by utilizing our own natural resources, why have we not done it before?

Even if Romney was vote president, nothing was going to change. All the crap happen in Congress. In a split Congress with both side not budging from where they stand; nothing is going to happen. Want thing to change? Go pester you representative and force him to make the choice you desire.

I applaud you, good sir. You are one of few people I have seen to understand this idea.

I'm watching Oreimo, the anime about the little sister who is into Hentai games, and that compared to reading an internet thread about the election just makes it seem so normal compared to this.

Not that unique of an idea. Doesn't take an intellectual mastermind to look at the past two years, look at the future of the Senate and the House, and say "oh f--k, we're screwed either way."

Anyway, as somebody involved in foreign affairs, I'm glad at least the candidate who had more abroad popularity won, even if I don't agree with anything American politics. It's high time the entire WEST paid the blood price for our collective interest... not just us.

You don't seem to know our government very well. Congress holds power to make law, and yet you blame the president that he makes the law.
