With this being a 2nd term for president it stands a good chance of the states being allowed to experiment till they can provide results of the projected tax revenue. If it does become the tax boom that they are hoping for I could expect all the states that now have it legal to move it to ballot before the new presidental term is up. I am just curious what anyone else's thoughts are on this

I don't think pot should be legalized it.......... there is already enough obesity in children why make it worse? and plus it makes you stupid and causes mental illness to arise in people prone to it.

Do you just make up facts on the spot? Or have them beamed to your head via mad scientists--

I think its a great idea, just like alcohol people 21 and over can buy, and will need to exercise caution, like alcohol.

If alcohol is legal and regulated, marijuana should be also. Alcohol consumption has caused more deaths exponentially, and should be considered the more dangerous of the two. The men who founded this country smoked pot, grew pot, and utilized it as a resource for paper and fabric, why shouldn't adults be aloud to do the same in this day and age.

Agreed, if alcohol is legal pot should be as well. Alcohol causes so much more trouble than weed ever would. When a police officer is called to someone's house for disturbances they ask, "is there any alcohol involved?". There's a reason they do that. You never hear about pot causing people to get violent, or wreck cars, or die from liver poisoning. The only problems pot cause are making you hungry and thirsty lol.

There's no reason for it to be illegal in the first place, they just say it's bad without any reason as to why. If you're 21+ you should be able to buy both alcohol and pot in my opinion.

It's the first step to end prohibition. It should be legal. Whether I want to use cannabis or not in the privacy of my own home should be my choice.

This is going be my two cents here:

Cannabis was legal once, then after a certain invention called "paper" was born...it was illegal. Cannabis users are the most chilled out people you will ever meet in your life, mostly, it varies from person to person. But, the vast majority of the users are the really calm most of the time. So, yeah.

I don't even smoke, and don't want to...and I still agree with this sentiment.

Well, I think it should be legal for the some of same reasons others have mentioned. Alcohol is legal and causes more harm to the body as well as cigarettes. Cannabis isn't even addictive from what studies show.

However, alcohol leads to trouble when abused such as with drunk driving. So if cannabis starts to adversely affect the population then I'm for taking legal measures. People who smoke a lot of that stuff seem kinda zonked out. I knew a girl who was super smart. She started smoking that stuff and she seem kinda slow, permanently. Anyways, I don't think the affects will be as null as people think, just not as dangerous as some of the other legal stuff, like trans fats. lol
