Do you only get common stuff like seasonal allergies? Or do you have something unusual? Do you have more than one? Do you wear some sort of medical alert tag for it? (as tempting as it may be to stray into other territories....stay on topic. please.) Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Mine: Latex/rubber allergy (Type I). Balloons at a party are a big, bright "KEEP OUT" sign. Heck, just looking at a picture of balloons is enough to give me hives. Hospitals, clinics, and dentists are (literally) mortal enemies, because of latex gloves and other rubber equipment. Bananas. Which throws a lot of people off, because EVERYONE is supposed to eat bananas, because they're good for you. It's often related to latex allergy. It's a nasty shock when someone hides bits of banana in pudding. I have a medical tag necklace for the latex allergy. It would be ironic if I survived a car accident, only to die because the paramedics wore latex gloves.

It's a mercury derived preservative that's used in a lot of soaps, bodywashes, etc., and is also used as a preservative in a lot of vaccines, though here in the U.S. the CDC has phased it out of the new vaccines. My skin breaks out in little bumps that get a clear liquid in them and itch me like hell that then dry up and dry out and crack my skin. Don't even want to know what it would do inside of my body. >.> Problem is, it does by about ten different names as a preservative and when I'm out and about I don't know what it might be in, so I have to carry around my own soap. I don't wear anything about it to alert people as it's not severe enough on my skin to kill me, just is annoying, but when I was in the hospital before I had a bracelet on for it. One time I used bodywash that broke me out all over my body too, and that totally sucked. -_-

bingo666 603 cr points Send Message: M / Las Vegas Offline	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 11/11/12, edited 11/11/12 most animal dander, grass, pollen, weeds all the good ones... also onion but it only really gives me trouble when it's raw. never took the time to research that and find out why, though. oh and cheap metals... can't wear any kind of cheap watch or necklace or my entire neck will turn into a giant hive mess. also no belt buckles can touch my stomach for an extended period of time and also the little rings in shoes where you loop your laces will give me hives so i've only gone sockless once and learned my lesson.
