^ definitely. :)

The guitarist in Yanni's orchestra in his Tribute Album was veery good. Listen to his guitar solo in the song "Dance with a Stranger". :)

EDIT: I just noticed... but your avie is soooooo long... :woot: But it's real funny.

I'm not terribly sure which my absolute favourite guitar solo is, however the following are some of those I enjoy the most;

David Gilmore [Pink Floyd] => Time, High Hopes, Another Brick in the Wall [pt. 2] and Wish You Were

Jimi Hendrix => basically anything he's every played, especially some of his improvisations.

Mark Knopfler [Dire Straits] => Sultans of Swing & Brothers at Arms

Paul Kossoff [Free] => All Right Now (not a great solo, but great fun all the same) in fact most of their songs have awesome solos, short but sweet.

Allen Collins [Lynyrd Skynyrd] => Free Bird

Joe Satriani => Surfing With the Alien

John Petrucci => Lost Without You

Eric Clapton [Derek and the Dominoes & Cream] => Layla & Badge

Richie Blackmore [Deep Purple & Rainbow] => Highway Star, Lazy & Stargazer

Jeff Beck => Where Were You

hide => Tell Me

Steve Vai => The Reaper, Crying Machine, Lotus Feet, Yai Yai & Burning Rain

Yngwie Malmsteen => Vengeance

Van Halen => Eruption

I could go on and on [and on and on] but I reckon you'll have got the idea by now, there are too many greats out there to choose one which is better than the rest. And I didn't even go into classical guitar players, they're even better. Then there are people like Tommy Emanuel who play the most amazing instrumental pieces.
