Berserk anime AFTER 90s 1st season?

With the trilogy almost complete by now, does anybody know if there are plans/mentions of movies/series that will cover the arc that follows where the 1997 anime ended and where the movie trilogy is supposed to end? To be honest, it really is a shame that the original anime didnt continue with that production team from the 1997. They did an phenomenal job with the first season of Berserk, making it one of the real gems of anime.

There should have been a continuation back in the 90's. The entire manga deserves a great adaptation followed up to the current chapters.

Also, I recall The Sword of Berserk: Gut's Rage game for Dreamcast. We could do to have a worthy Berserk game for all platforms.

That's how anime works I'm afraid. If it doesn't do well financially then they don't bother to continue a series. I can't say that's the problem here, but many anime never see a second season no matter how far the manga goes.

I know I know. It's just that I don't see how that could be the case with Bersek. Not because I personally like it, but because it IS super popular even after all these years. ( talking about the anime, we all know the manga is super successful )

Then why are they making movies surely if they are doing this they can make a few more seasons?

According to Studio 4c, if the movies are a success, then they'll continue it. According to them, the trilogy is part of an overall effort to adapt the entire Berserk manga series (although they didn't adapt the Black Swordsman arc (which covers volumes 1-3 and is right before the Golden Age arc), which hopefully, they'll make it into a movie before moving to the Conviction Arc).
