first of all Miku is digital, not fake. I like Miku cause she has good music made by many different people. She inspires people. shes got style. and unlike real celebrities she cant be addicted to drugs or get married and divorced multiple times. she is pure, she is music.
....then theres MikuDayo....shes creepy. looks like she was dropped on her head as a baby :P

I really don't like the sound of the voice on a lot of the songs... Though that's just me... Japan certainly has MUCH better music than America though, that's for damn sure. I love their Power Metal, Concerto Moon, Animetal, Galneryus, Deluhi, etc.

Personally I don't like most Miku music because of the way it sounds, but "Fake" is definitely the wrong word. Sensationalism at work.
But when "real singers" who auto-tune the hell out of their vocals is a normal thing in pop/top40 music, the line of difference gets kinda blurry from where I'm standing

I wouldn't call her a fake as she does technically exist.
But she isn't alive either. She's a vocaloid,a simple program for synthing (or whatever the hell you call it)
Now if someone can actually make her alive,then you can call her real.

Truth is, Miku is just a voice synthesizer, so technically, YES, she is fake. She's not a real person, she's a holograph/character. Yes, a person gave her a voice, but that doesn't make her real.
But I sort of like her anyway.
