Around 50 shows, I keep it around 50 for some reason; right after I finish 1 shows I look for another one to take it's place and if it is not a simulcast or currently airing show that it'll most likely be backlogged until the week(s) of season finales.

hm... i have qutie a few... i'm actually tearing names off this list right now.
halfway through re-watching lucky star (watched a long time ago, don't remember well)

clannad + after story
nisemonogatari (before kizumonogatari comes out!!)

halfway through campione! (started last season, then just kind of... forgot about it  )

No back log whats so ever but I do have a strange problem of stopping 2 episodes from the final episode , only to finish it a month later, I honestly have nu clue why o3o

i have a backlog of at least 20 anime including
Love hina (Not currently watching because it looks just horrible)
Gulity crown (Nothing against it just havent found the episodes in good quality)
and the 1 anime in my backlog for the last 3 months
to love ru (can anyone say generic)
also shuffle memories only because im trying to completly forget shuffle before watching

Not only do I have a backlog but want to watch some some favorites again let alone the new anime which comes first.And then there is Funimation with the same issues. But nice to have more anime than you can watch.

Yea i have many animes im only half done with, but when i finally decide to continue on them i discover a new interesting anime. Thus i end up with more and more animes half done >.<

Matantei Loki Ragnarok (I've watched the first 13 episodes but need to watch the other 13), D. Grayman (watched about 4 episode in and need to go from there), Excel Saga (Got halfway through and then put it on hold), FMAB (about half way through), Giant Killing (watched up to episode 14), Sgt. Frog (watched the first 79 episodes and gotta find the subbed episodes of the rest), Chitose Get You!! (up to episode 14 but thinking about just waiting for the series to end and then marathoning the rest since its a short).

I have a huge backlog, mostly with DVDs/Blurays I bought during Rightstuf!'s Christmas sale. Some of the things on the list are Clannad, The Twelve Kingdoms, Petite Princess Yucie, Moribito, You're Under Arrest, Fantastic Children,R.O.D, Blue Seed and Yawawa. I'm in the middle of The World of Narue, now. These titles have been in my backlog for about 1-2 years. My DVD/Bluray backlog was much larger a month ago, but I've started going through them. Streaming wise, I've started Slam Dunk and Kenichi, but they're on hold until I finish most of my DVD/Bluray sets.

I've got several hundred on there, though only 63 are on my MAL. Most of them are things I've just randomly seen or heard of, or recommendations. Also, a lot of them are older shows from the 80's/90's, which is a big part of why they're there. It's mostly because I just can't find copies of the animes I wanna see, haha.
Also, I don't have nearly enough time to just sit down and watch a bunch of anime like that, so I'm just waiting for a good time to sit down and watch them. A lot of times I do have to myself end up being times I'm not in the mood for anime.
