And this is what unions actually do to our economy. I don't care if people don't get paid quite what they want, if they can't get paid at all whats the point?

Corporations can be greedy, but I'd rather have a more competitive economy over getting paid more until the company that I'm working at gets forced out of business by a foreign company that pays its workers much lower wages.

..........I feel really bad, feeling like the only person who's not freaking out about the company shutting down. xD The only thing I feel sad about is that those workers are now out of work.

Frankly, I won't miss a company that makes the epitome of unhealthy food. We haven't bought their products in years. Some businesses don't need to be kept alive. People are moving to better food choices.

People can eat what they want. There's nothing wrong with junk food in moderation. If someone wanted to eat nothing but "unheathy food" that is their prerogative.

I have some in cupboard now. Way to start my morning; a Twinkie, coffee, and a cigarette! :D
I don't really care where they're made, except CHINA! No outsourcing the "TWINKIE" to China!
This story has been the talk of the internet. Already on EBAY, someone is selling, or rather offering a box for $10mil.!!! Good luck with that! lol

They will be back. The execs got extremely greedy, and won. They took 80% raises in 2011, and multi-million dollar compensation packages. They then turned around, told their already low salaried union workers that they were cutting their medical, pensions, and reducing their salaries by 8%. The union workers held a strike, and the execs decided to declare bankruptcy. At that point, all the workers become unemployed, their pensions and medical are immediately voided, and the execs take a vacation for several months. Once the bankruptcy is approved by the courts, they will probably reopen as a LLC, hire lower paid non-union people, and all of their previous employees lost everything. Welcome to the new America.

We'll miss those fat foods of theirs. Who wants to eat nothing but grease colored in chocolate???

Disclaimer: It's just grease with food coloring.

Actually we need MORE unions but we need smart ones.

The average worker is getting SCREWED in the US, BADLY and we desperately need unions to help them, what we don't need however is dumb ones.

I don't think they'd let their famous products die. I'm willing to bet they will sell the recipes to some other company for more cash before they vanish

So a twinkie is like an eclair with no chocolate?
Seems slightly pointless.
