Tasty Kake, Little Debbie, and some Mexican company have already expressed interest in buying them out. What got Hostess in trouble was the high US trade tarriffs on sugar, so I guess we'll be eating Mexican twinkies from now on.

That high suger tariff is a leftover from WW2. It was never replealed because the few (very rich) families who owned the US suger industry did some hefty donating and lobbing congress to keep it in place. It keeps out compation and jacks up suger and food prices.

yep I forgot all about those, don't forget the chocolate ones and the coconut raspberry flavored ones.
And the all forgotten strawberry/cream filled Twinkies, assorted flavor of pies, Susie Q's, those pink marshmallow puff cakes,
The crumb cakes, boxes of donuts oh and the cherry filling donuts ...wow forgot all about those I loved-em. Kinda hungry for sweets now.

I can careless for Hostess products. They were shitty overpriced snacks,nuff said.

I heard a box of Twinkies went for 60 dollars on Ebay. Supposedly they last forever however I've seen them go bad.

A judge put the liquidation of Hostess on hold as mediation between Hostess and the Union is set to occur this week. Lets all hope they can come to an agreement to ensure the survival of delicious Hostess products

Gonna miss Ho-Ho's and Ding Dongs the most... couldn't find any at 3 convenience stores since that announcement. Went to Walmart, clear out, went to 2 more grocery stores... same. So this is how it ends?
