What Anime has Caused You to want to Watch Anime More?

The usual three made me get back to anime:
Code Geass Death Note and Elfen Lied.

Monster, Gantz and Steins;Gate made me continue. While K-on Naruto Filler episodes made me almost stop watching anime again.

Right now I am watching on crunchyroll SOA, Btooom and Fairy tail. I like all of them.

Also I read Berserk, Hellsing and Homunculus.

Can anybody recommend more mature stuff it seems that i prefer the more complex or bloody anime and manga. Also i prefer short anime.
What is out there you could say is really special and outstanding from the rest. Different and maybe a bit of art.

I'm alot older than most of you and there was quite the dry spell of available anime. I started watching again about 10 years ago. I watched Bleach, Death Note, Eden of the East, Durara, Gintama and many others. I don't think there will be a time, no matter how old I get that I would not keep searching for good anime.
