then i discovered ghibli... haven't watch them all yet, still hunting them down

didn't watch any anime until my daughter got older, she found a tv show called the last air bender... we watch it together
fast forward to 2012 because i didn't watch anything else really
i suggest you watch white album ...if you crave dramatic sans ninjas and mecha :D

I never bothered watching Anime because when I was younger I thought it was just about fighting robots or just a cartoon version of Power Rangers.
Years later I watched Clannad and Clannad After Story, I was shocked. There was so much emotion, in one episode I would be laughing and then almost in tears. Pretty much every cartoon in America is a comedy so it was so much different from the stuff I usually watch, I wanted more. Now that I've watched a few shows I'm amazed at the work that goes in to Anime, even the moe filled ecchi ones have more passion than the fart joked fueled American cartoons.
Thanks to Clannad I've been exposed to a great new hobby in my life and I even try to educate people about anime.

Mine was Full Moon wo Sagashite. It inspired me with its songs and professional drawings. I then found tons of other anime. I watched FMWS before I knew it was an anime. I started watching anime from FMWS, and plus, it's a pretty good anime. c: Recommended~ 8D

But the condensed version is that some girl I wanted to have sex with came over and was a huge fan so she made me watch it with her.
In the end I didn't get to sleep with her but I did find a new hobby,

During childhood, I always like cartoon and once a while there's anime in cartoon channel, but I never interesting like Yu-gi-oh, Pokemon, or Digimon. Until I found Dragonball, InuYasha, and Konjiki no Gash!!, thank to these that I am here.

The dubbed Yugioh the original series Yeah boy I was obsessed with this show and it's what started the love of anime and it got me to notice Voice actors, yeah I watched anime before Yugioh but Yugioh started it.

I've started watching anime when I was young,the very first anime I watch and hooked me into the anime world was Dragonball z and gt.After I saw dragon ball i started to fall in love with anime,sometimes i watch anime for hours and if an anime i love is 200 episodes away,I go in their and catch up to that anime in 2 days with no worries cuz if i get hooked in anime i focus on that anime until i catch up with it

i started anime with the big three, but got tired of'em and discovered the best anime ever -> gintama
