I'm definitely a hopeless romantic but every anime i've watched so far has ended with death (DN &CG), almost no romance(FMAB), or left me hanging (Elfen Lied). I'm currently watching SOA and I definitely like the romance that is in it. Also each has a male main character
So, so far my interest has been mainly on the action/strategy of anime's; however, I've seen some mention of shows like Say "I love You" and My little Monster that are clearly based around the romance and have a female main character. My question is, if you watch these or have similar history or interests to me, do you think would enjoy either of these shows? Basically I'm looking to branch out a bit and see if I like more than one specific set of anime's (action) Thank you for any feedback! |

I can only say just watch more anime, it is the only thing you can do, reading reviews doesn't help too much.
At least I don't read peer reviews nor have I asked people for recommendations, the only times where I have I was yanking the e peen with the I've seen more than you card. I will say that those two animes are enjoyable and won't make you go a;lskdjf;lknxlkj;a /rage. |

Good because I tend to get ragefaced *cough* finding out elfen lied only had 13 episodes *cough* I guess I tend to ask other peoples opinions because that's how I came upon Full metal alchemist:brotherhood, Code Geass, and Elfen Lied...three anime's i thoroughly enjoyed. |

You will indeed enjoy those two. I think you should go on MAL (myanimelist) and type of anime you watch and look for recommendations. Its quite a helpful site, but don't bother reading reviews as everyone has their own personal taste in anime and its up to u find it.

Strategy I use when I started watching anime: go to anime listing site pick a genre start the letter A open all anime links on the first page, rise and repeat *it also helps if the links have a picture helps with finding an anime edit: let me tell you a story, it pertains to code geass i followed said strategy mentioned above for romance genre this was back in the day about 5 years ago, i obtained many many anime titles. Of course Code Geass didn't really have romance tag on it but nonetheless I obtained code geass and was like ehhhh I'll watch this later (since it didn't have romance in it) so when i finally watched code geass it was about 11 at night and stayed up till 5 in the morning, pretending to be asleep so my mother would not yell at me. long story short watch more anime |

SOA being Sword Art Online? Anyway, regardless of what it is a show with romance doesn't necessarily mean butterflies and rainbows. Also, what's with them having a female lead have to do with anything? Is it that you watch shows with just male leads in them or? Elfen Lied, Death Note, and Code Geass all have female leads in them and romance. Well, back to what you were probably wondering. Yes, you will probably like SAO, and you will probably like My Little Monster and Say I Love You. Opening up a bit more is a good thing to do. That's my take on it. If you want some depressing shows with to watch ('leave you hanging' shows) I'd recommend Evangelion (of course) and Texhnolyze, as well as Le Portrait de Petite Cossette, Chrono Crusade, and Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom. For more lighthearted series I'd say Bunny Drop, Haibane Renmei, Petgirl of Sakurahall, OniAi, Oreimo, Toradora!, and Haganai. Again, just my take on some recommendations. Here's a (not complete) list of all the shows I've seen, you can look at some titles that interest you.

So i figure i'll give them a shot. Also i see you live in Missery...i mean Missouri >_>....i feel sorry for you as i was able to escape that boring landmass through college. Good luck in escaping mediocre and dull Missouri...unless you love it there...in which case: you confuse me. =D |

I would always reccomend Hakuouki for anyone to watch. It has romance, action, supernatural, and history all balled up neatly into one package. the artwork and storyline is superb as well as the acting. I love this anime. You may enjoy other romance oriented anime such as Fushigi yugi or seishonen HANESKERU. Be warned that although the high school and romance moe are good-they always move painfully slow. I mean really, most of the time I just want to either smack the crap out of the would-be couple in question or reach thru the screen and throw them on top of one another! They can be really frustrating-but I keep watching them any way, because that's what addiction is....insanity! I like both My Little Monster and Say I Love You. If you want to keep your sanity wait until the series is complete and then watch it. Oh! Demon King Damio and High School of the Dead are good and complete.Anime romance is very timid. Honestly-how do these people manage to procreate?

Ya know? Enough about that I should probably put a spoiler tag on that list. |

Hmm I don't know.
I also enjoyed Death Note and Gantz... But I am still able to enjoy "MY little Monster". "Say I love you" is mediocre in my opinion. The typical shoujo. Sword Art Online is also mediocre to me. So I don't know. |
