I'm more wondering how Kirino doesn't look like any of her parents
are you sure Kyousuke and her are even related? not joking at all, its something that has been bothering me (though it could just be "hey its anime, the characters can have whatever hair color")

I haven't seen the visual novel personally, but that is one of the "what if?" routes in that story. According to what I read, Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide they'll hop into bed the very night after he tells her.

As far as the anime goes, I never once got the impression they had any kind of romance brewing. They just seemed like siblings behaving the way siblings would.

I haven't read volume 11 yet(its supposed to cover why they have such a bad relationship), but i somehow doubt shes adopted or they end up hooked up. I think its just she doesn't want to have such a cold relationship with her brother... He will probably end up with Ayase, Kuroneko, or Manami. The PSP game story line is not the same as the source material.
Also, her hair is dyed for modeling, she probably would look more like the girl in the dream of ep1.

kyousuke said that she dye her hair before the series begins.

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Their "true" feelings are fairly inconclusive so far(ie up to volume 11). Season 2 will definitely dial the heat up even more, so it's fair to say they definitely don't have a "normal" brother/sister relationship, and at some level they have feelings for each other. Whether that's just extreme possessiveness is difficult to say.
The author's definitely given himself several options to conclude the series with (volume 12 will be the last), but given the whacky, slapstick nature of the series so far, I can't see an incest ending

Umm it hasn't been resolved to any truth in the novels... Volume 12 will resolve everything. But to put it simply its not going to end with incest leave that for the doujin... Its not some eroge its a love comedy...
