Instead, they'll focus on digital distribution, such as what is here on CR, so Bandai will still hold on to those licenses. You just won't be able to get them on DVD anymore without costing you an arm and a leg. For instance, they just added Wolf's Rain on Hulu not too long ago, with a listed expiration date of 11/08/2014, and Toonami has many more episodes of Eureka Seven left to broadcast, well past March 2013.

They've said they'll focus on helping the Japanese Bandai companies with North American licensing. So if a distributor like FUNimation or Viz Media picks up a title, you'll be able to get the series without paying close to import prices. An early example of that, before Bandai Ent actually announced that it was closing up as a North American home video distributor, would be Viz picking up Bunny and Tiger.

I cancelled my Netflix subscription after I discovered this site because the anime there is dying out. And I refuse to watch hulu because the ads get worse every year.

This is the best legal site for streaming anime that I've come across, and I plan to keep on supporting it with my money for the foreseeable future.

This very statement. ^

I just joined CR after watching different anime here for about two months. I like their selection of anime with the exception of wanting a more mature, intellectial story line type anime in addition the the others on here.

So i live in EU, and all i can say is : This site is HEAVILY lacking animes, i almost become sad whenever i look at the animes on this site, theres actually only 2 animes on this site that i watch :/ Legal just isnt really possible here in EU for now, hope its gonna come at one point or another

On another note, i can possitively say that i've watched what i think is interesting on this site, maybe i've just had too much time on my hands cuz i aint really that stingy about what anime i watch, but its rare that i rewatch stuff ^^

Also i would just like to point out that i dont blame CR for this at all, i think what they have here is AWESOME, and if you're new to anime this place has sufficient anime, but at some point the amount of anime on this site isnt sufficient at all, and thats where im at atm

I think this site is better for those in North America and Canada since here in the UK less is licensed... I'm not really gonna complain because I'm grateful that even any anime whatsoever is available here [: Netflix is also okay since its recently come to the UK but its range as with crunchyroll is extremely lacking compared to over in the US ._. The UK has anime on demand too for some of the titles which crunchyroll doesn't get so I don't really have a reason to be bothered and they do try to get licences for as many places as possible so that's good (:

Crunchyroll has the largest selection of anime for me so I'm happy with whatever they get. That doesn't mean that I'm not upset when no catalog titles are available here but... On youtube you can find pretty much anything or there are less legit sites you could go to for a last resort. Also there aren't as many DVDs released here which is also limited too...

Anyway I do agree this site lacks anime but not gonna make a fuss about it D:

this site got most anime i would watch regularly, but for those one they don't have, i'd have to use those fansub sites that only got 240P videos, it's a painfully tiny window and when you go full screen, it looks like playing pokemon yellow fullscreen on PC, it's really bad

I am confused? I dont know what to do. I dont have enough time to watch all the great titles here. And if I dont like an anime I wont watch it.But since I came to CR if there were 2 or 3 I didnt like thats it.And that could be a personal choice as CR has lot of genres to offer.

This site doesn't lack in anime, thanks to their extensive catalogue, but it doesn't have some of my favs, like Moribito, Black Cat, etc. For that, you just have to go to those other sites, such as Crackle, Hulu, Funi, etc.

It has Moribito

I stand corrected. I was just going by what was on the iOS app. I guess the app doesn't quite have their entire catalogue.

But still, this site doesn't lack in anime, it just lacks specific series that were picked up by other companies. Crunchyroll can't possibly make deals with every company to carry every series. It's up to us to go out and find the sites/companies where we can legally watch all our favorites series.

The iOS app has all the anime titles.

You need to make sure that the content filter in your user profile is set to Show Mature Content. The iOS will block mature rated shows like Moribito unless you have that filter turned off. It is the same with the PS3 app.

You also need to have your birth date set if you have not done so already.

You can change the filter settings at this page https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video

I live in the US, and I say CR doesn't lack anime. Yeah, most likely outside of America, selections could be a lot fewer. For me though, CR has tons to offer. It could always use more, but I think they're doing a good job at getting and licensing so many shows. I thought this most recent season that they got dealt a bad hand with the shows they got, but then I started watching said shows and loved them and changed my opinion on them this season.

So yeah, it really depends on where you live and what not. Living in America though, we have a great selection.

Well they can't get everything so of course CR lacks a lot of good anime. But there is plenty of good stuff here.

@-Chris311-. Thanks for the help! I can now see Moribito on the iOS app.
