Hard to pick a favorite; there are so many genres I love (from Bach, to Charlie 'Bird' Parker, to even Krewella)!

Since I play favorites to the instrumental section of music, I'd have to go with one of the more emotional pieces I know:

Light of Sothis

(composed by Amy Quate)

(Check for a recording by Alex Mitchell and Jeremy Limb on iTunes- its not on YT!)

(Also: The picture just fits the song; I do not claim any copyright ownership of the image!)

My favorite changes all the time! It's impossible to just have one favorite but the song I have stuck in my head the most right now is Manchester by Kishi Bashi

Don't think I've ever decided on a favorite song before. Don't think I've really thought about it.

Here's a great Hatsune Miku though.

It'd be a tie right now between Eva by Nightwish and I Know you Too Well to Like You Anymore by Reel Big Fish.

I don't know what a Nightwish is, but it's the greatest thing ever this week.

I don't know what it is, but I love high energy songs that incorporate trumpets. Well that and sarcastically aggressive songs.

Currently, any of the music by WORLD ORDER will be stuck in my head for a while. It's not just their music, but their videos. Lots of scenery porn, as well as a great sense of humor. Plus, their choreography is so amazing. No camera tricks, and most of the long shots are done in a single take.

At the moment, the one stuck in my head is 2012: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlK5abIJRyM

One of their videos (Change Your Life) also had some not at all subtle anime inspiration in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuvoCVCAX9k

My "favorite" song is unlikely to change for quite some time, however the piece of music which I have recently enjoyed more than most others is Joe Hisaishi's "My Neighbour Totoro" played by London Symphony Orchestra.
