I will ask one question How was the eye patch sexy? What exactly do you mean by 'how was the eye patch sexy'? Are you saying how sexy is her eye patch or how anyone would think that an eye patch would be sexy? I should punctuate more, but I'm objectifying asuka=eye patch. Ok, and what about her eye patch? Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide It's more of one of those things they do to tell the viewer that 'time has passed', so to speak, but if you saw during the 6 minute preview it does affect her in more ways than just aesthetics . Yes, what about her eyepatch. Like I said in the spoiler tag. It's not elaborated on much. I'm objectifying asuka=eye patch. objectifying asuka=eye patch. objectifying asuka=eye patch. asuka has -> eye patch. asuka -> is the eye patch. objectifying So what you're trying to tell me is that Asuka over the course of 2.0 to 3.0 her consciousness was put inside her new eye patch and that she controls her body through mental processes?! Asuka is the eye-patch.... My God |

Whos the redhead girl (not Asuka who has orange hair)? Is she Mana from Girlfriend of Steel? I see her a lot the wallpapers on 2chan. But the Mana from the game had short hair.

Mana Kirishima Asuka has auburn brown hair in the Rebuild films, not orange. Even in Neon Genesis Evangelion she has red hair, not orange. Mana isn't in the Rebuild films, she's just an extra canon-logical from the Girlfriend of Steel spin-off game. Do you mean Mari Makinami Illustrious who was introduced in Rebuild as the Fifth Child? Asuka Langley Shikinami and Mari Makinami Illustrious |

Try replying without sounding like a snobby fan next time. I said orange, because on a colour palette, thats what it is. I didn't say Mana was in the rebuild films, I was asking who the new girl was since I haven't watched any of the remakes.
But, thank you anyway for the response. |

Well sorry, I would have given you a straight answer but you didn't really give me much to go on. I was also just clarifying her hair color, I know on the color palette it's just mixtures of orange. Mari is a brunette, not a redhead. As for Mana, since you said you haven't seen the Rebuild films (You didn't, I assumed you did though), I just wanted to say she wasn't in them. You know, on the chance someone thought she could have had an appearance in them. If you didn't watch any of them you should have said so. I wouldn't have sounded 'snobbish' then, I probably am now too though so whatever. On a side note, the Original Soundtrack for 3.0 was released November 28, 2012 if anyone wanted to know. |

I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE. I do agree that the movies are more....interesting than the series but I don't know about this one's plot line. It seems....off.

I can't stand EVA and I only watched it for Asuka who is the only likeable character in the whole anime (plus she's Deutsch!)
Not to mention all of those lovely faces she made in End of Evangelion: And to that I say Gott weiß ich will kein Engel sein (God knows I don't want to be an angel when I die) |

Thank you! F**k you! The villain has arrived!

Let's just say it's far from what most would expect even for the reputation the Evangelion franchise has. But in my opinion, the entire plotline was a bit shaky since everything easily could have been resolved if:
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Misato sat down and spent five minutes just explaining what happened in the last decade, but then again there would be no point. And I was hoping Shinji would inject some testosterone in him so he would actually take action without breaking down, and I'm glad he did... but for all the wrong reasons.... |

You'd think Misato would think of that. She probably did, but knowing her she wouldn't act on it. It'll probably all get better in the fourth installment though. Hopefully. I want a happy ShinjixAsuka pairing unlike in the TV series and EoE movie. No jacking off to your love interest's comatose body and no pushing any attempts at intimate connection away. I like the time skip in the third film in that it creates a lot more contrast and new understanding to the characters. When you peel all the surface identities though you see they haven't really changed at all. |

From 3.0, I'd say Asuka's more mature and actually seems to want to save everyone not for her selfish reasons, but for everyone's sake. |

Having seen the movie from a camrip ( it had subs and everything) i would say the i enjoyed the movie because it was different from the first 2. A bit slow in the middle but the beginning and end were awesome. The secondary characters didn't get as much screen time as i would have liked but kaworu and shinji had a few interesting moments.
That being said i still had no idea what was going on. Preview for eva 4.0 = AWESOME |

From 3.0, I'd say Asuka's more mature and actually seems to want to save everyone not for her selfish reasons, but for everyone's sake. Well of course they changed, but their base characters still exist. Of course Asuka's more mature - she's had 14 more years to develop as an individual than Shinji has. In that though, she still has her reasons. She's still selfish, she just doesn't show it directly. Like when she confronts Shinji for the first time in 14 years, she slams her fist on a window letting her anger get the best of her. She avoids his questions with criticism and vague excuses. Later, she expresses to Mari her feelings about it, about Shinji, although not directly. This can also be seen through hints and other clues over the course of the movie and definitely at the end. As for Misato, she may be more aggressive than before, but she still runs away from her problems. She neglects to tell Shinji anything and threatens to kill him if he tries anything but when the time comes she hesitates both times. This can be viewed as a sign of guilt from what happened at the end of 2.0 or something similar. Maybe she is disheartened over the fact that she almost helped in starting Third Impact when she encouraged Shinji and is hiding from that fact. You have to read past the actions of the characters to get to their cores and deduce them. |
