The usual items you get to eat on my favorite holiday of the year!

What I do is eat nothing and make myself very hungry hours before the big dinner. That way I savoir ever bite.

Ahh than you must be quite discipline, I am to unless food is concerned and the unique foods I can't make is in front of me.

I'm cooking two dishes so I am craving those the most; little apple pies baked inside of apples, and spicy persimmon chutney.

There is, however, one other desert that I do love. My Aunt's sister makes an amazing apple crisp. I'm usually the one who eats most of it.

Traditional all the way! We usually only have Turkey a few times a year and once is Thanksgiving, the other is Christmas...the rest of the time, it is probably turkey lunch meat (lol).
Haven't decided if we are smoking the Turkey or if we are going to oven roast it this year.
Green Bean Casserole, Stuffing, Corn, Yeast Rolls, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy...and who knows for dessert. We usually have a Cinnamon Streusel Apple Pie and Vanilla Ice Cream.

All the while, we will be listening to Christmas Music or chilling and watching a movie (best movie watched on Thanksgiving so far was Zombieland...freaking hilarious!).

Just having my Dad and stepmom over on Thanksgiving day. Black Friday will be spent with the other half of the family. The cleaning leading up to the holidays is the horrendous part!
But on the plus side, it is supposed to be 61 degrees and sunny. :)
Dinner is at 3pm!

Leftovers are great. Cleaning up the kitchen afterwards sucks - unfortunately we don't have a dishwasher, so yay, fun.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Some kind of meat is a must. Then again, that applies to all my meals.

I don't care for turkey, but I suppose I don't hate it. I do prefer a nice steak with a glass of red wine or something. Maybe sushi with sake.
