I have been wondering why it's called that. Since CR didn't bother explaining the pun, could someone else tell me what the pun is? I'm guessing it has to do with rearranging the kanji for astronomy or something so that it reads "agonizing astronomy" instead of just astronomy... but that doesnt seem like a pun to me.

It's because of the kanji they used to "spell" the name of the club. "Astronomy Club" should be written as 天文部 (tenmonbu), instead they wrote it as 天悶部 (tenmonbu). It's a play on words since both 文 and 悶 are pronounced the same (in this case). They call it the Agonizing Astronomy Club since 悶 means "to be in agony".
