Pretty much what it says in the title, do you remember playing the old command and conquer games and how good they were! Do you remember Defeating/Aiding Kane!? Do you remember Yuri from Red alert? Oh god I miss Yuri! Let's hope generals 2 isn't going to suck!

I'm afraid the only C&C I ever really touched on was C&C Generals. ^+^;

My first C&C was Red Alert: Retalliation on the Playstation... I played every single C&C game since then, most of them on PC up until C&C 4 which moved the franchise away from Strategy to Tactics. The same reason I didn't play Dawn of War 2, even though I loved Dawn of War and its expansions.

I definitely miss the over-the-top soviet characters, the non-CGI cut-scenes, and the wacky tech. I'm not very excited about Generals 2... they're just calling it "Command & Conquer" now, I think. I have serious doubts about it living up to the Westwood-developed games.

Yeah, I remember playing a lot of C&C for DOS, blocky graphics and all. Then Red Alert and Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge and after that I sort of lost interest in the series.

Yes! I remember playing Red Alert 1 & 2 over and over again. I haven't played any of the new-er games yet... Heard they are making a free-to-play version of the game next year.

I think they have already came up with once, Its called C&C Tiberium Alliances. Its a browser based game where you work with other players to race to the middle of the map were higher rewards are sought after. It takes weeks and weeks to complete though so if time and patience are all you are then maybe you can endure it. I lasted 3 days tops?

Well I am afraid you missed out on an awesome childhood! The only reason I went over to my friends house everyday was so I could play his C&C games... and his mum made me cookies but that's beside the point! :3

I use to play the first Red Alert on Kali 95 online all the time.
I was an angry tank rushing 10 year old. Those were some good days.
Anybody ever play it using Kali back then?
I remember Kali as one of the popular ways of playing online :3

Also, best MP maps ever in my opinion :
V-6
and

Remember? i am still Currently playing it Generals is the best fore me {since it was the only out of a few of the c and c games that wasn't limited} the zerohour added a new feel to the choice of what army you picked and strategy really came in for me and my cousins in multiplayer. i prefer this instead of age of empires 3 no pop caps or terrain limits. but now...no generals 2...damn e.a.

All the time, they were my first RTS outside of Dune 2 (which my dad showed me at age 6).
I thought C&C3 was pretty good though but some people hated it.
C&C4 never happened.

Ah memories.

I remember back when I was in junior high...

I invited a buddy of mine over for a sleep over gaming fest. The main events? Splinter Cell, and Red Alert for the PSOne. We had some good times tasing dudes of course, but it really got started when we put the old tube style TV's back to back and had us a good old link cable game of Red Alert.

I know this be a PC forum, but I only bring this up because it was my first C&C game, several years before I had a proper PC to play with.

I remember I got Command & Conquer: TIberian Dawn on Playstation 1 back in the 90's. I loved playing the game. A year later I became friend with someone who also played Command & Conquer. After I met him I was introduced to Tiberian Sun. Playing those games with him and alone, man I miss that time. :p Was 12 years old,(2002) when I played Tiberian Sun for the first time. ^^

I have played every Command & Conquer game on PC since then. I especially loved Yuri's Revenge. The first CnC game I got for PC. And the first game, outside of educational games I got for PC as well. Oh, the good times. <3

CnC 4 was a bad move by EA. In my opinion.

I still play the old games from C&C 95 Gold to RA2 w/Yuir's Expansion.

My fav is C&C Tiberium Sun!

Generals didn't feel like C&C anymore to me, it was also the first EA only made game w/Westwood finally gone. Since then it's been pretty much a miss with EA's C&C titiles vs a hit for me.

One more reason to hate EA, personally for me. (Just about everything they touch, is ruined by them)

I really do miss Westwood... and Frankie K's brand of Electronica/Techno/Industrial-funk style of Music in the C&C games.

I was even planning to work there, someday. I never knew that day wouldn't come until C&C Generals.
( Curses! ... E!-A!!! aka "KHAN!!!")

As for the "new" C&C Generals 2 its being made by the Ex EA-LA and Bioware teams. I'm just at a wait n' see, since it's probably another miss for me.

I've since then moved onto games like RUSE and EndWar. I'm looking forward to RUSE 2 and yes, I do love Ubisoft since we touched base on that.
