I forget the character names but remember the plot . . . When I was about 5 years old my first anime that I watched was Princess Mononoke. When I watched it again 7 years later I remembered everything after 5 minutes of watching. If I forget the title or character names I'd remember if you just show me a picture. though I think I couldn't tell the names only the plot . . .

I remember Ghost in the Shells:SAC Main plot VERY well but other stuff yeah i forgot. I just started rewatching it in HD on Amazon(yeah I payed for that). A lot filler stuff and humor I forgot but makes it fun seeing it again since I have run out of anime to watch that is like it. All I can say is that the reason I don't watch Cowboy Bebop again is one round was enough for me to remeber the whole world they were showing. Timing was off but the way they shows that anime is the most believable Space animes that I have seen (besides that space jump scene with spike) ever.

No OP mecha, reasonable colonies that now are better than earth(thanks to plot )live on and Terrarformation in nice level. Yeah, I love that show and BEG for new anime/cartoon/animation or bold live movie to beat it.

If I see the show then I will remember it, but if I am trying to list off what shows I've seen, well I might get half of them.

I'll be able to id all the 400+ anime(s) I've watched.
I can remember most of what happened in most of them.

Same here.
As a fellow star trek fan I would also be able to do it with all star trek episodes. That is what memory is made for

It depends on the show, really.
If it's not all that interesting or incredibly long I'll forget pieces of it.
If it's a short anime with a strong story it'll stick with me.

Similar to me, except I remember names as well (most of the time).

Well that's very nice. I too now. I started to watch anime again half a year ago so everything that I watched I still remember. I'll see if I could remember after a year or even more . . .

I like to pay close attention so I would probably remember what happens in almost every anime I watched. I may forget a title, but if I see an image of it, it would come back to me.

While I might remember the general idea, most of the main characters, and several memorable scenes, for the most part, no, no I don't remember crap and that includes shows I've watched repeatedly.

I tried watching everything twice for a while as well to see if it improved how well I remember a show in the long run, and no, not really a help there either as that just seems to ruin the re-watch value of it for me later if the initial re-watch was too close to the original... unless it's mind-blowingly epic, in which case the last part doesn't apply.

I don't remember details easily, and names are a lost cause (even when reading books I recognize characters by what their names look like rather than what they actually are, which might be pretty weird to most people).

I've been thinking of starting to write quick episode summaries during or after each one I watch like stark700 does in the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S thread just to train myself to pay more attention and remember more things.

If I think it's a great anime and it stood out to me then I'd remember everything about it. If it was just something to past the time that I was watching for the heck of it, then I probably wouldn't remember it much at all.

I can usually summarize the plot of an anime after I've watched the whole series. If an anime bores me, such as Nabari No Ou, I usually drop it or put it on hold. Seems I don't watch a ton of anime at one time.
