Ok, I have looked and looked and used google so many times I wouldn't dare try to count.

My sisters friend did a visit to Japan many years ago.
He brought backs many snacks to share with her. Some of which she shared with me.

One of these snacks I thought was pure genius and loved it.
It was a thin waffer that was flavored.
The ones I had were flavored beef stew, what amazed me was how when I ate them I no longer felt hungry.
The way you ate them was to suck on the waffer until it and the flavor were gone.
Was like 2.5 inch wide, and like 5 inches long.

I asked him if he knew what it was, he just told me he went into a store and grabbed some random stuff.

So, after all these years, I turn to you, the internet peeps..
Do YOU know what the hell this thing is?

I wish I had that kind of money.
Plus, Japan is a bit too big to be traveling all over to find the one snack, Which might not even be in production anymore.

Was it like a type of rice cracker? (As opposed to wheat)

EDIT: I did happen to find this. It looks like a specialty item, but they might have types for regular snacks

It's probably worth knowing that snacks come and go quite a lot in Japan.

lost the thread for a bit.

To answer some questions:
No it wasn't like a cracker of any sort.
The waffer was like those flavored seaweed snacks, but thicker and turned white-ish after you sucked the flavor off, then those dissolved shortly after that.

The white waffer makes me think it might have been a tofu product, though not very sure about it.

This is like those chocolate cravings you get, where you absolutely must have chocolate, but I can't because the thing I crave is many miles away and no clue what it is.
