Man you are retarded.... just stop watching anime.

Also, Cowboy Bebop is not the perfect anime.

I want to say way more but i think its a waste of time.

The amount of text scared me away from actually reading everything you wrote down, but I'll offer my advice anyway.

Just take a break. A long one. And then come back and see if you still feel as burnt out as you are now.
I feel like anime gets a little old sometimes for me too, especially the generic school life ones. But there's always those really interesting ones that you find that no one else really seems to care about because they're more interested in watching some "hero" get beaten up by a bad guy but then, as soon as he spouts out shit regarding friendship, he has suddenly gained power to beat the evil guy to a bloody pulp.

Yay. Gotta love friendship speeches.

------------------------------------------------

Edited this post after I actually read it.
Seems to me like you're just done with it all, which is fine. I can relate to the whole "story is getting old" aspect because, well, it's true.
But whatever, doesn't stop me from watching it.

Oh, and that stuff you said about the cellphones is a little.... silly. I don't see why that should matter at all. Maybe it's just preferred? Maybe it's a cultural thing? I have a lot of friends who actually prefer to use flip phones over smart phones because 1. they're cheaper. 2. more battery in some cases and 3. they might like the keyboard more.

Not everyone needs full on access to just about everything. Sometimes a cell phone just being a stupid cell phone is good. And why would you cringe of all things? See, that just doesn't make any sense at all. It's like cringing at someone for fucking driving a beat up old car when you have the money for a fuckin lotus. Who the fuck CARES if another person doesn't have a smartphone???

Agreed. I mean it is alright, but I don't see it as the pinnacle of awesomeness everyone claims it to be. The really only good thing I like about it is the music.

If anyone feel "burnt out" that just means you need a change of pace. Hop to a different genre, watch some live action stuff, play some games, etc. If you watch nothing but anime with serious plots, ofcourse you are going to need some comedy in there.

Why should you use a flip phone now? You can't browse the Internet on them! You can't listen to music on them! Why have separate devices when you can have one device that does all those, text, and call people? Flip phones are so over. Get with the times! Would you rather have current tech or would you rather have people laugh at you?

Sorry, but you can browse the internet and listen to music on the flip phones they sell in Japan. That has been true for quite some time. The same is also true for some flip phones sold currently in the U.S. (although the browsing experience here leaves something to be desired).

If people are laughing at someone just because they don't have "current tech", they are likely shallow ignorant people whose opinion doesn't carry much impact.

Personally, I've been both at the leading edge at technology adoption when it suited my needs and desires, and at the trailing edge when it didn't.

Land lines are still fine for power outages. That's it.

Sure, that is why businesses have a cell phone at every desk.

They're great when you have to be on the phone for several hours of the day without worrying about a poor connection, dropped calls, or the battery running out.

There is way too much material that I want to rant on in this post -- I may be up for the next hour if I start taking it seriously. The most succinct summary I can give is just that OP needs to consider using logic a little. It helps ease the pain of world when you recognize that most people are not dipshits, and have reasons for doing the things they do, and liking the things that they like. If you pay attention a little bit, and try to figure out why people do things, rather than just assume stupidity, you'll find out that, for instance, flip phones make sense to the people that have them. Smart phones are a tremendous waste of money for people that have shit to do. Music? Games? Internet? I have all of that on my computer, and my computer does all of those things better than my smartphone. It's pretty damn useless for anything but calls, because if I don't have a computer around me, then I'm probably busy doing something with my life. I understand that anyone with a flip phone is ignorant and unfashionable, but at least they are doing what they want instead of watching shows that they hate, and starting posts complaining about the fact that they do things that they dislike for absolutely no benefit. If there ever comes a day when I don't enjoy anime, I'll stop watching it. There's no need to commit myself to something I don't enjoy, and I don't need to start a post to let people know that I'm bored with something. Believe it or not, I am rarely bored, because there is always a ton of things I can do at any time. If you're tired of it, then you're tired of it -- I don't see any point to this thread unless you are just looking for the approval of others. There is so much more that I want to say, but at this point, I'll just keep it to myself. The alternative is way too much work.

Edit: First prize to anyone that deduced a flip phone discussion from the thread title.

I agree even a moderator chimed in on this thread. Most of the posts agree too dont watch who cares if you have the Acme 10000 smart phone. Its silly to buy new if the old still works. And if something is broke a lot of people just buy new instead of trying to fix or find a upgrade.

One Piece was full of that stuff. But during the Baratie arc (I last dropped it only a couple episodes into the Arlong arc), I realized I'd seen padded fights and guys yelling at each other before...back when it was called Dragon Ball Z. Toei could at least give OP the Kai/Brotherhood treatment. And why pad long-running anime with fillers (Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, I'm looking at you)? Why can't they just take season breaks like American shows? If you must do fillers, make them no more than side stories--release them as OVAs or movies.

Case Closed? I can see why Adult Swim dropped it. If I knew it would be so long, I wouldn't have kept watching it.

Golgo 13? All the chapters are self-contained stories. It's been running since the late '60s, but it works because there's no ongoing plot to speak of. Just badass sniper/spy stories. It's the Japanese James Bond. Only Golgo makes Bond look like a pussy. How many skyscrapers has 007 shot through to kill a guy?

I've seen some good shoujo shows, but some make me want to smack the shit out of the characters. (Peach Girl's one of the biggest offenders. I won't delve into spoilers, but I really did want to punch my TV screen upon seeing all that drama. That assclown Sae doesn't help matters much, either. But they could at least make a sequel--why didn't they bother animating Sae's Story? Did the TV series not do well enough in Area 11? Same with Boys Over Flowers. Lack of cell phones aside, I wanted to punch Tsukushi for
. The guy's a fucking asshole--why? And yet I at least enjoyed Peach Girl and 2/3 of the trendy anime trilogy.

And speaking of cell phones, 2000s anime is already starting to show its age. Flip phones? Brick phones? How fucking obsolete! Nobody or their dog uses those anymore! I can't even look at someone using a flip phone IRL anymore without either cringing or laughing at how backward they are! Where the hell did they get their phones? A time machine set to the Bush administration? Even while watching newer shows such as SKET Dance, I keep raging every time they show a flip phone. GET WITH THE FUCKING TIMES! FLIP PHONES WERE COOL...BACK IN TWO-THOUSAND-FUCKING-FIVE! WE HAVE SMARTPHONES NOW!

My flip phone I have for work purposes is fucking awesome completely indestructible also can be used as a weapon. And does what it's needed to make phone calls >.> I also have a smartphone for personal use but it's main purpose is a phone...... Not for being connected to social media bs and the web 24/7 Use your phone for it's intended purpose phone calls...... use a laptop, desktop,or hell even a tablet for everything web related

ok but Its a long thread ....

but Good is very subjective.
There are indeed a lot of crappy anime , kiddy anime , fanservicy anime and too moe anime out there and they are not for me .
I am very selective on what anime I watch so I dont feel all anime are stupid. I just avoid those that does not interest me at all.
