Thanksgiving annoys me -- mostly because of the contrived expectations from family and black Friday afterwards. Its a spot in November that was chosen by the government at some point, there is no real specific meaning to it. Why should I have to drop everything I have going on, burn some of my much-needed vacation days and fly across the country during the most annoyingly busy time of the year to visit relatives on a day which was arbitrarily chosen? And God forbid you forget to get gas or milk and have to go out on Black Friday -- Morons everywhere clogging the roads, stores and checkout lines hoping to get a regular priced TV that was marked up and then back down as a "sale."

Easter pisses me off too. I actually had a little brat zealot tell me I was going to hell for not going to church on Easter. Lets get a few things strait: 1) Easter is named after a fertility goddess. 2) Bunnies mate a lot and eggs hatch into chicks. All of the associated symbols are holdovers from a spring fertility festival and have absolutely NOTHING to do with Jesus. 3)The entire crux of Christianity is that Jesus sacrificed himself for everyone, so Good Friday should be the Christian holiday, NOT Easter.

I'm not of a religion that celebrates this, but I never understood Lent either. There are some benefits to a real fast now and then, but a "give up something petty you enjoy for a little while because of an archaic tradition" doesn't make any sense to me. What is the point? I've never met anyone who gave up for lent anything that they really missed and the duration is too short to have any health benefits.

The visual impressions bother me: It's Glitter Green, Red, Golden, Fluffly White Madness.
I can't go out during this time of the year. The colour scheme, the glitter and the lights; it's too much and too bright, it all hurts my eyes.
And the songs, don't get me stared on those; they're cheeky, screechy, fake, annoying and I'll do anything to shut them up. Because it's as if stores turn up the volume during the X-mas season and that can be very botersome to certain people.

If you wish to celebrate X-mas, be my guest. But seriously society, you're over the top, tone it down a bit!
I'm not a Christian, but from what I have read about Christianity; what goes on isn't actually what it's supposed to be about.

Let's not even talk about Easter, that holiday makes me want to bang my head into a wall repeatedly.

I usually end up drinking a lot during these times of the year, it's the only way to get though them.

Go, New Years!

Do you sneak into their house if they do or something?
Do you stare at them through the windowless curtains? Serious question here.

Not sure if serious
OP was the one who said that the Christmas lights are "so bright that it is hard to sleep"
So I'm wondering how that would ever bother anyone who closes their windows and curtains when sleeping...

Not rage per se, but when Christmas commercials start airing here in freaking October that's where I go "Hell no! Just no!"

Holidays like that are draining on the mind, used to make people buy things and most people don't even celebrate them anymore because of what they ACTUALLY mean... makes my head ache, so it is annoying at least.

Because my curtains are crap and let some light in... If people would just lay off the light a little then it would be some what ok. Don't over think it cause nothing is perfect.

When I think about mud, kittens, popcorn and holidays they all make me want to RAGE!
Holidays are so stupid with the decorations and lights ... there is a house down from mine that has those light up deer things and they make me so mad I cant stand it. I mounted them last year and I am going to do it again. The blow up Santa and Frosty I want to just run up and NERD RAGE ON THEM!!!!! ... Don't even get me started about the candy cane lane. GOD THE LIGHTS I cant stand them!! So bright makes it hard to sleep at night.

So my question to you is do you like the holidays, if not what ones do you hate the most and why?

For me as you can see from what I said it is Christmas ...

Sounds to me like you may have sensory issues. (If not emotional/psychological ones.) Have you ever been checked? I have a family member with that problem (SID: Sensory Integration Dysfunction). Colors, sounds, & smells would set him off into either rages, terror, or he'd vomit. He's a bit better now with therapy to desensitize him.

Nope I don't need to be checked. I just have a deep hatred for the holidays among other things ... Everyone hates something. If you say you don't I would call you out on it. Just sayin.

Maybe if Christmas were like in Japan, only for children and dating couples, it wouldn't turn my stomach. Here, it is an orgy of consumerism where we celebrate the birth of our lord and savior, The Almighty Dollar. If the love of my family and esteem of my friends are commodities I have to buy every December or I won't have them in January, I don't want them. Receiving gifts when I can't afford to return the favor makes for awkward and uncomfortable feelings. Stores open for Black Friday on Thanksgiving Day really make me sick.

Hmm Idk. I just like to eat and have funny convo with my family. I only ask for one thing most the time from my mom cause she just keeps asking me what I want. I don't really want anything, but she'll buy me something anyway. So I search real quick and make up a gift. Just told her 10 minutes ago I'd like a jacket. The lights don't really bother me. I have curtains! Nice invention those. xD I like a lot of Christmas music and the movies on tv. Halloween though. I love that holiday : ) Haven't gotten into it as much these past two years. Maybe next year.
