I've been a big fan of .hack// since way back when. there's some things in the series I don't care for, but as a whole, I love the concept. //SIGN was great, even if it starts a little slow. the first 4 games were fun when they first came out, but I found it hard to play through them more than once. the story is still great, though. //legend of the twilight bracelet manga was nice, but the anime was crap. //ROOTS was boring. dropped it halfway through. //G.U. games were awesome. have several of the LNs, including the //AI buster novels, //CELL, and the //INFECTION - //MUTATION adaptations. never read the //G.U.+ manga, or the //XXXX manga. still need to watch //QUANTUM and the G.U. movie, whatever it's name was... can't remember.

for life.

been playing the games, though im taking my sweet ass time. i nearly beat the 3rd one "outbreak", but than i finally got my hand on the 1st one and started over, taking my time and collecting every golden and silver axe. i still have the boss left but imma try to finish all the hidden levels first.

the anime, i plan on buying once i get over my debt from buying all the games.

I've played, watched, and read (both manga and novels) everything that's been released in the US. I've got a lot of shelf space dedicated to everything. Shame Bandai has abandoned the franchise outside of Japan. .hack//G.U. Trilogy didn't get a dub, they passed on .hack//LINK, Funimation had to release the Quantum OAV series (so glad somebody was interested), probably the same will be true for The Movie, and it's unlikely Versus will ever be released here (be nice if NISA got a shot at it, but then we'd probably not a get a dub for the movie). Kinda sucks being a non-Japanese fan right now, real shame since the 10th anniversary in the US is coming in February.

Loved .hack//sign, not seen much of the other series (except the one that came with the PS2 games).

I was a fan of the first game that came out for PS2 and the manga. I haven't gone around to watching the anime yet.. I will eventually.

Wasn't .//hack Versus basically a prototype for the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games? The engines are very similar.

I agree with the above posters that it sucks CyberConnect2 isn't making anymore games. If I remember correctly, in a recent interview Hiroshi Matsuyama said he was focusing on Naruto games, and had no plans for any more .//hack games.

It might be a problem with Bandai Namco not wanting to give them the funding to make another one. If you look at the interviews on the .hack//Liminality series he was always so excited about .//hack. Or maybe the animators at Bee Train are just tired of it.

Quantum was badass, but I wished it had been longer. Feel the world they live in could've been explored more.

I just started watching .hack//SIGN again. I loved it when it orginally aired (back in 2003 I think), but I have not seen much of the others in the continuum. I watched a little of Legend of the Twilight. It is not as interesting to me as the original series was. It is surprising to see there are still a few fans though.

I LOVED .HACK//SIGN ! I almost did not watch SAO because the synopsis struck me as a bad .HACK rip off. i am glad i watched it. i was wrong. My daughter is also a fan of .hack while i love sign she likes legend of twilight

It's one of my favorite series, to be honest.

I believe I've watched all there is to watch of it, for now. I really wish there was a new series, or something. ಥ_ಥ Sword Art Online definitely made me wanna watch it all again, though. As for the games, they were awesome. It was hard to replay the first 4 after playing GU. I liked it's gameplay a bit more. I haven't played Link or Versus and it makes me sad inside. x_x

*goes back to searching for the key of the twilight*
