Their "test", while hilarious, only examines one age group.

As you get older, the hormones settle down....

Women tend to like bad boys, jerks and jocks. Nice guys finish last. Women are biologically programmed to find protector/providers as mates, but most are raised (especially in America, thanks Disney and Barbie) with really bad stereotypes for what that is. Hell, most Disney movies play out like how-to guides for codependency. Look at all of the television shows out there, kids who study are assumed to be weak nerds. Now look at anime shows where the most popular kids are both athletic and academic aces. American girls are just taught wrong.

If a guy gets into a fight over a girl, she feels important. If the guy deals with drama, she feels important. It strokes her ego. It isn't until she's the one getting hit or has to raise kids on her own when the jerk takes off that she realizes that big, strong, fighting guy was fighting for his ego and treating her as property.

And that is why nice guys get friendzoned. If you're nice, the girl will mistake kindness for weakness and she wants a "real man." Too bad that most American girls under 35 (and only about half of those above that) wouldn't recognize a real man if they bit her in the ass.

Here's an example: I was on a date with a girl I met online. We agreed to meet for drinks. Ran 3 miles four times per week, fenced, was a veteran, and had a big boy job that I was making about $75K at (25 years old). I took her out to a nice upscale martini bar in Seattle. I wanted to look nice (plus the place was pretty upscale) so I wore a suit. She told me, "I'm sorry, you're not my type. I like my guys to be tougher! My last boyfriend was a tattoo artist!" -- She said it with such conviction that it was terrifying. She thought failed art students who get ink were automatically "tough." That is the way girls in this country think. All flash and no substance.

So guys, if you're friendzoned, give it up. They are too callow to be worth having anyway. There are a few good, sensible women out there, just not many if you live in the US.

Why not just leave? If you're gonna whine about being in the friendzone, either man up and do something about it or move on with your life.

I find it ridiculous how many people constantly whine about the friendzone, but in the end never plan to do something about.

Why don't they just leave for a very long time, try to find out what they like, what they don't like and then realize that that other person wasn't for them?

That's what happened to me. I liked this girl for a long time, and then after realizing how little I had in common with her. I stopped caring and just moved on with my life. I focused on me.

P.S. I hear that a lot of the guys who dated her said she was a bitch to deal with. I can't handle bitchiness.

Everyone has their own preferences. I only date people I'm already friends with, and share common interests with, for example. So I guess I need to be friendzoned before dating. Of course, if you can't be friends with someone, I fail to see how you expect to spend your life with them.

Sorry to the guys out there who think being nice is the kiss of death to a relationship. No, not all girls go for bad boys. Some do, just as some guys just want girls gone wild or redheads or librarian looks or whatever else. To each their own, and I hope you find the one that fits you best and vice-versa.

I try to remain in a platonic relationship as much as possible with the guys I know. It's awkward, because I know they have all had a small crush on me. I mean, I'm awesome. I just hope they haven't had any... *Shivers* fantasies about me.

not something you'd wanna know, but believe me, they have..most guys fantasize about most girls they associate with, crushes on them or not :/

This. Sorry girls, but that is just how we work. Granted the vast majority of the time it stays in our heads and may only be an occasional thing, but it's there.

And as for the thread topic, yeah I've been friend-zoned.

I dunno am I that rare as a guy because I have a fair few friends who are girls who I wouldn't sleep with/ be in a relationship with? I don't really get this whole Guys and Girls can't be friends thing.
Before you ask, Yes I do have a libido. No, I have not been friend-zoned save by my own inaction- because hey, I was scared I'd lose a close friend.
