⇩ Guide to Making Your Character! ⇩
THIS IS STILL WIP. DON'T TOUCH IT.
Like the title up there says, I (Lrie) will be teaching you how to fill out the fucking form since people clearly don't listen.
But since people don't listen, then half of them won't even be reading this. Fuck them.
If you do care, this is going to be a long read, alright? ^q^
Honestly, it's more of a rant than a guide, but it still helps. I think.
First of all, let's start with a Caster form. The only thing that's different is the way used in combat.
Name: Do I even need to tell you how to do this? Anyways, full names are preferred, but if you're that lazy, then only the first name is fine. Please make this the only part you're lazy in, though.
Year (1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th?): Don't even make me explain this. Think of it based on your character's intelligence and power. 1st would be the lowest, and 5th would be the highest.
Species: This is the part everyone has trouble in. We have a list on it, so why can't you follow it? And we already said no more half-demons, the other halfs are acceptable AS LONG AS THEY'RE IN THE LIST.
Height: I'm sure you're smart enough.
Weight: For this one, too.
Build: I'm not even going to go there.
Age: Alright, now to age. We know you want your characters to be a fucking million years old, but think about it. Why the hell are they going to school? Can you at least try to make sense? The age limit only applies to humans and chimeras, even the half breeds. For the other races, their lifespans are much longer.
Gender: Unless your character has gender identity disorder, make it MALE or FEMALE.
Eyes: You don't actually need to put this, unless it's not shown in the picture.
Appearance: Give us a picture of your character or write a ten page essay on it.
Personality: This is way too basic. All I have to say is that, at least try to act along the personality. You're roleplaying your character, not yourself.
Back story: Okay, here we are. Another one. PUT EFFORT IN THIS; AT LEAST A SHORT PARAGRAPH. DON'T GIVE US A SENTENCE AND SAY, "OH NO ONE KNOWS MUCH ABOUT HIM," OR, "HE HAS AMNESIA." Do you even want to roleplay? If you can't even put a proper bio, then you're not building your character at all. Like I said earlier, it's like you just want to roleplay yourself. Oh, and NO MORE ORPHANED CHARACTERS. Do you want to be pitied that much?
Partner: We had a few of these cases before, so I'll say it now. Your partner is not your boyfriend or whatever. It's the Caster/Familiar system. You only get one partner, and it can either be your second character or another roleplayer. YOU DO NOT NEED A PARTNER TO ROLEPLAY.
In relationship with: This is where the boyfriend thing comes in. Very self explanatory.
Magic type: You only get ONE MAGIC TYPE. Don't put something like an OP magic skill, or you're just godmodding. Try to be SPECIFIC ON IT.
Anything else?: Just, anything else. Your character's likes, dislikes, etc. It's nice if you put some weaknesses your character has here.
That was the basics, at least. And now, to the Familiar form.
Preferred weapon: I don't need to explain, but yeah. Maybe you'd like something that would actually protect your Caster? Wow! I'd never even thought of that! In all honesty, Casters are the ~main~ type of people, and Familiars are just there to back them up.
Weapon ability(s): I don't even know why this was added. If there's something ~special~ about your weapon, you could put it here.
Put "Contract" next to the other word if you read this~
⇩ About the Partner System! ⇩
Hey! It's a little rant Hatake_Kuro made. Read it!
Ahem, okay lately there has been a really big problem with Castors and I am no exception, but this must be dealt with now. Castors cannot instantly shoot spells and cause hell, that defeats the purpose of having a familiar, which is having them protect the castor while they are busy performing spells. It even says it on the front page! "Casters are those who's Gift lie in that of Sorcery. Those Gifted in Sorcery can control one main unique power. They will learn more spells and abilities as they move forward in the years. Each Caster needs a familiar to protect them as they cast a spell." "Familiars are those who's Gift lie in that of Weaponry. Those Gifted in Weaponry can control any weapon decently even without formal training, they each have one preferred weapon they use better than any other weapon. As they further in their years in MAA, they will learn new skills and techniques. Familiars are those meant to protect their caster." So what is going to happen now is this so we can avoid any bs, there will need a post build up for a spell, depending how strong the spell is. The higher the post build up then the stronger the spell. The lowest amount can be 1, I expect you all to know a reasonable amount of posts your character can handle. If you are reading this, then I thank you. If not then you will cause problems. Please please read.
Put "Master" Next to this if your read it~
To Familiars, your weapon can have a special ability, but it can't be OP! If it is, then a mod will let you know. There is a limit of two.
To Castors, you will need a post build up for a spell, depending how strong the spell is. The higher the post build up then the stronger the spell. The lowest amount can be 1, I expect you all to know a reasonable amount of posts your character can handle.
