Well I am diagnosed with bipolar I disorder. I have manic episodes that last weeks and it's always so troublesome. One moment I can be completely happy, cool, and chipper. The next moment I literally want to isolate myself from everyone and every little thing sets me off.

Yea, I'm usually nice talking to others and stuff but when I get mad that's a different story.
It's like turning on a virtual switch button that says "BEAST MODE ON*.

Hormones?
... They are not the only thing that can affect behavior...
Your fear of authority is not hormonal based... and it can change your personality making you more respectful when taking to your boss...

It’s because I don’t have the slightest idea how to interact with people, and the kids at school always look for weak targets to prey upon. So if I stay beneath the radar I’m left alone. I’m a master at breaking eye contact and leaving the scene. My parents are so overwhelmed with other issues that I never bring stuff like this to them.

Heh, In a way I act like a totally different person when speaking to someone that I don't know or when at school. I created this personality to assess situations and avoid contact with certain people. Believe me when I say that where I live everyone you meet acts like the nxt person you'll meet and I'm very open minded . I only act like me with my friends. I think that's part of who I am and my ONE personality.

Thanks for explaining. At the end of the day, what you think of yourself is all which matters, because it is up to you, how you react to what others say or do to you.

I used to think I had 2 personalities, but I just misunderstood myself. Now I accept each aspect of myself and I am happy ^_^

starting to not care what other people think of me helped a whole lot because at the end of the day I am the one who has to live with myself and I refused to allow their Remarks ect to affect me or to enter my mind if that makes any sense.

Anyway bullies usually don't amount to much in life and end up miserable, although I would not wish that on anybody and after you leave school you don't have to put up with them, so its not worth being hurt or hurting yourself over their crap as I learned. Also they are probably suffering more than you are, otherwise they wouldn't be bullying. They are super insecure and scared deep down, they are cowards.

Anyway back on topic, I used to think my feminine and masculine aspects were two different personalities, however now I know both of them make me who I am and I am a complete person with no shame or confusion about who I am, I am one, I feel balanced now.

No, we have different emotions that we show to different people. Just because someone cries in front of their Mom, but acts stoic in front of their Dad, is not a change in personality, they're changing their emotions, whether voluntary or involuntary.

You're confusing a change in attitude as a change in your personality. Being respectful to someone is not classified as a secondary personality. Personality is a combination of emotional, attitudinal, and behavioral response patterns, which work alongside one another. Fear is an emotion. If you are fearful of authority, but treat your boss with respect, then you are changing emotions, not personalities.

The reason I said hormones is because there's a bunch of kids on this thread who are going through adolescence and are collectively diagnosing their mood-swings as stemming from a second personality. A secondary personality is theorized as being a "back-up" personality to your primary personality, however this "back-up" personality is NOT recognized in psychology. A secondary personality falls under the Dissociative Identity category (previously known as Multiple Personality Disorder). Dissociative Identity Disorder is a serious mental disorder that needs to be treated immediately by a professional because of the harm it brings to the patient and those around them. I've personally known someone with Dissociative Identity Disorder, and it's nothing at all like what is being discussed in this thread.

What's being discussed in this thread are teenagers who are in the midst of discovering who they want to be in the future versus who they've been up till now, and confusing this as having multiple personalities.

Yes..

The first is a generally nice person that is helpful and orderly. I can clean, and organize my entire family's house/stuff in a couple of hours once I'm revved up enough. I guess that would be a little "manic" stage. I'm very creative and loving, with loads of self confidence. I am very patience and will wear more colorful outfits.

The second hates people, avoids direct social activities, and very disorganized and lazy. I often get very upset or frustrated easily with people or things. I will tend to make "rude" comments aka not filtering what I feel like saying to you. I dress in darker colors and will have a hard time concentrating.
