Hey everyone!

We've got some special Naruto Shippuden episodes coming your way these next few weeks! Since the Naruto animated series reached its 500th episode a while back, Japan decided to create a special arc just for commemorating that milestone! (The 500 episode count includes both the original Naruto and Naruto Shippuden) Called "Chikara", which means "Power", the new 6-episode arc will feature our favorite ninjas investigating the mystery behind the massacre of an entire village. The arc will run from Naruto Shippuden episodes #290 through #295.



For those of you who are Premium members, you may have already noticed a different preview and image in last week's episode, Power: Episode 1. For free members, the start of this exciting arc will be available in less than 12 hours, on November 29 at 4:00am PST, and Premium Members will get to see what happens next in Episode 2!



Synopsis:

After the Five Kage Summit, each Ninja Village begins to prepare for the impending Fourth Great Ninja War. One day, the Hokage receives a message that all the inhabitants of Tonika Village have been slaughtered. Tsunade's orders Yamato, Sakura, Sai, and Naruto to find and punish the ones who are responsible for the crime.

They head to “The Hole,” located in a small country that shares a border with the Land of Fire. It is a place filled with mystery, and long written about in ancient texts. Most importantly, Tonika Village is rumored to be sacred and harboring some sort of treasure.
Naruto's excited be sent on a mission, but when he arrives, he sees a devastated village burnt to the ground.  What happened here?  And who caused it?  As they investigate, they begin to find their answer.
 
Suddenly, Kabuto appears before them, and a tense standoff ensues. Kabuto uses a jutsu, making coffins rise from the ground. Inside each are Itachi, Sasori, Deidara, and the Leaf Shinobi, Asuma and Hayate! He then uses the Forbidden Reanimation Jutsu to control the dead shinobi and a battle unlike any other begins!

Meanwhile, survivors from the attack on Tonika, a man named Dokku and five children he rescued, are hiding in a neighboring town. One of the children Mina, constantly hums a mysterious melody. When Naruto and his friends visit them, they learn about the ancient legend of Tonika Village, and the existence of a mysterious power...

What lies in the Hole? And what does the legend have to do with Kabuto?

Kool! It has been a while since I've watched Naruto I could probably make a marathon I'm like 34 episodes behind lol

I was sad at first to see that there was going to be fillers at such an intense point of the story. But right when the filler started I could already get into it. I am looking forward to seeing all of these now!

same im also about 30 episodes behind =/ ill prolly let it continue to stack up but watch this six episode arc, seems interesting and it could be what gets me back into Naruto

I don't normally watch the anime, but I read the manga. I have tuned in for the first episode of this filler, and I have to say I am loving it. I am thinking it's like a movie with six episodes and the animation is superb when compared to the rest of the series. It's like a TV movie split into episodes.

Sigh.... I can't even tell if this good news, bad news.

Kabuto looks poorly animated in this. Maybe its just me.
Anyways I'll always watch anything naruto related no matter what.

At least the fillers have a great quality to them in substance and animation. Unlike the fillers in the original Naruto series that had them chasing cats and crap, with animation looking like it was done by a substitute.

Ohh how I haven't watched Naruto for over 2 months cause the episodes got boring...

Meh, I'm not a naruto fanboy. Fillers seems really enjoyable.
