A few weeks ago I rented Spiderman on PSN and was really excited at first because he is one of my favorite Super Heroes. anyway the show seemed to drag on and even the action scenes seemed kind of boring. My parents and I were watching it together and about half way through the show my dad says "this is that good." and I'm say "your right "
then a few minutes later he says "You know what this reminds me of?" and I said " What?" and he says "Twilight"

I Thought about it then I looked a Peter Parker and realized he has Edwards hair style. I was shocked and irritated at the same time. It was the same kind of feeling an anime purist has for dubbed. How could they take a show whose target audience is mostly male and use a twilight style romance that targets teenage girls. I would have bought it if the had remind closer to the original but why? the original had a better romantic feel when Tobey Maguire kisses Kristen Dunst.

So what is with twilight? Not just Spiderman but a lot of new series are coping it like secret circle vampire diaries beauty and the beast. Are they only allowed to copy genre that they know sells now or are the new writers so infatuated with Twilight they want their style to be the same. Comedy is the same way ever since the office NBC has tried to copy its style of comedy. I find my self watching TV Land just so I can laugh at something actually funny.

Anyway I think they need to separate Twilight style shows from the rest of the movie industry otherwise it will just cause our movies to decline. especially if no one can change the dynamics of their shows.

Is it in fashion to hate on twilight or something?

The Twilight books are best used as toilet paper.

It's in "style" right now and has been for a while. Slowly dying out actually. You could say the same thing about the whole zombie franchise. But honestly, I think when you guys noticed a similarity in your game it just escalated from there, haha. I really don't think it was intended to be like that...

Twilight. That still a thing? I thought we were all over that, fans and haters alike.

I am indifferent towards Twilight. I have never seen or read the books and movies.

I don't know why they keep 'coping' Twilight. I don't really see them 'copying' Twilight, just using similar appeals.

While I don't know about this hair thing, the reason Twilight has been copied so much is rather simple. No matter how awful it is, both the books and the films have made an incredible amount of money. Other people want to tap into that, resulting in all the copying that you've noticed. I imagine that it works too- say you're a fan and finish up the series, chances are that you'll go looking for something similar. It's the same with just about everything that becomes popular. For instance, if you pay attention to the reviews that are always in books claiming how good they are, teen fantasy novels are often claimed to be 'perfect for Harry Potter fans' or 'the next Twilight', even if they really aren't that similar. It's a marketing strategy to attract fans of the original product. It works too; although rip-offs are rarely as popular as the original, they still do make money.

That and every scene in amazing spider-man took place at night. What was up with that? Felt like spider-man was in gotham city or something.

Because sappy vampire stories of seduction and romance still attract a wide audience.
