Hiya!

While I was trying to crop my GIF file the other day to use as an avatar, I came across a noticeable problem in which the cropping sequence is either done incompletely or is done incorrectly.

When you crop a GIF to use for your avatar, the first frame of the GIF either does not crop the portion of the image that you selected to crop, or it tries to crop the image twice, and fails.

Here's an example:

Here's the avatar that I'm currently using:

Here's the avatar that I'm currently using when I cropped it about 10 pixels up from the bottom, against the right edge of the picture, and not touching the left or top at all:

As you can see, the first frame of the animation begins where I had originally wanted to crop, but the image seems to...I don't know...re-crop itself in an unintended way, and it stays this way throughout the life of the animation.

Because of this bug, a cropped GIF file that is intended to be used as an avatar will look as intended if and only if you base your cropping from the top-left corner of the image.

Hope I helped!

This is more just a bug often experienced with cropping animated gifs with something that is not specifically for such a task. I recommend cropping them on your computer then uploading the finished product.

That's exactly what I did to get what I have now, thanks. It was originally a GIF that extended off of each side of what I have right now.
