If the storyline is something worth watching then I may be able to endure the ugly art

Sometimes....for example i thought usagi drops had terrible art,but it acually wasn't that bad ,so yeah i guess art is pretty important...but then again not really

Story first before the art....hmmmmn... but when it comes to art, I'd rather say uniquely drawn, and I better watch them (like sayonara zetsubo-sensei) rather than generic art style....

Yup. If the drawing style is distracting and I know I could do better on a bad day and the story isn't good enough to make me smile. (That takes a LOT of work)

Drawing style has kept me from developing any interest in XxxHolic even though viewers have given it a decent rating on ANN. Carlo Santos, however, gives the show a minus for lousy drawing. And Code Geass: LeLouch of the Rebellion, I and II: something about gaunt, anorexic characters prancing about just leaves me cold. ANN stats show it to be an excellent popular show too. Oh, well, my loss as I usually like Clamp releases.

Of course, I didn't want to watch Lovely Complex, Kanon, or Bokura Ga Ita, & guess what?
Looks are very deceiving because I watched them all due to curiosity & they were amazing.

Yeah~ There are certain art styles that just aren't as appealing to me, so i just avoid them in general~
Which is kind of bad, i know, considering it could have the most amazing plot and characters to boot, but still, it's that whole 'i'm definitely judging books by their covers', thing.

Art style/presentation has A LOT to do with me watching or liking an anime. For example, I can't stand any variation of the Dragon Ball franchise; all the characters look like goofy, over-grown babies.
Now, before you guys jump at me, I have no issues with the show's existence or people liking it. It's just not for me.

Art style is a major turn off for me if it is too strange, that however doesn't stop me from trying to watch something. Except One Piece, I doubt I'll ever watch it.

It depends on the story for me, but if it is just hideous then obviously I will get bored and close it. I would like something nice to look at and watch. I guess I care about the art quite a bit.

I'm planning to watch all the anime series, even if it looks weird. I hated the art style for One Piece when I saw previews of it on TV some years ago. Though I started this year, and it is amazing :3
