Yaoi certainly isn't repulsive to me, but not interesting to me either. I haven't really given it the old college try, honestly.
Mostly I'm attracted to men by their personality (women too, though I'll admit looks can trump that). And I've yet to see a yaoi production that creates a truly attractive personality.

FIRST reaction? None, really. Way back when, I believed that if I wanted to consider myself an otaku, I should see something from every genre, yaoi included. (The meanings or implications of otaku are not for this thread.) I watched Ai no Kusabi, and I thought the plot was kinda weird, but I wasn't repulsed in the slightest. I did look into a few other classics, but it wasn't until Gravitation that I became a fan. (Says someone with all the remixes...)

When I was very sweet and dumb about this kind of stuff, I thought it was a type of ice cream. Then someone showed me a video of it and I lost everything cutesy-cuddly and shit like that.
I will say that I look at it when I'm bored. But I'm not really attached to it. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide It did, however, change how I looked at Sauske and Naruto in the anime.

My first Yaoi... Might have been Naruto (with the whole Sasuke kissing thing.)

It was definitely No.6, If it falls under the Yaoi category.
I was planning on dropping No.6, but I was already to far in to go back.
So I finished it.
Yes, I had mixed feelings about it.
Yaoi almost made me think I was Gay and attracted to males, but a good look at the female body set me straight.

I might be a closet homo and I am scared to find out if I continue experimenting. The kissing dude on dude scenes make me awkwardly happy, not the erection kind of happy but an emotional kind of happy, it's weird, I know, that is why I hate watching Yaoi. It seems to unlock a -what I see as really messed up side of me. I occasionally hug bros I haven't seen in a while, and I like the feeling, but again, not in a h^rny way, but in an emotional way, I don't know why, but it seems healthy to hug another man. **Correction, it seems healthy to hug people, just does, makes me know that they are alive and real.
